  1. There are some good ideas here. I like the tip of; making a plate of snack items and bringing it to the cabin, stashing it in fridge for late night munchies. I've read here that the MDR offerings have been small portions. So, if one is still a bit hungry... head to the buffet and 'graze'? Best of both food offerings! πŸ˜‰πŸ˜Ž
  2. Thanks to all who answered. This was the information I needed. Sitting with another group is OK but we will have a 'challenged' person with us and it might be better to have just family sitting at the table. The other issue, waiting on a group that might delay ordering, gave me concern. I did not wish to have our servers or the service in general, delayed if plans for shows had been made. (this was a discussion on another posting) I was not sure that the servers would take one group's menu orders without the other group being at table.
  3. We are in 2 cabins and we are planning to dine together. I was just wondering if there may be other folks assigned to the same table and would the servers wait for them before beginning the service? Drink orders, app orders etc. Do the tables have seating for only four or more?
  4. My family has set time dinning. There will be four of us. How many people does a table in Set Time seat? Must all those assigned to that table be present before service begins? If other tables in the MDR are empty can one request being moved to an empty table?
  5. Okay.. so... this may be a Noob questions but.... WHAT'S THE DEAL WITH BACON? Is there a bacon shortage on Carnival? I've seen the term 'bacation' on other topics and this is a puzzling topic. πŸ₯“πŸ₯“πŸ₯“
  6. And you should KNOW! One of the many things I learned when reading your live review on the Dream.
  7. I understand what CarnivalShips480 was saying about keeping Carnival competitive. And that is true. But perhaps in 4 or 5 years Carnival will have become more financially stable which could lead to the creation of a new class of ships, the Elegant Class. Airlines such as Emirates and Singapore did it. 🀩
  8. I am inclined to choose a smaller ship. My past sailings have all been in those with just over 2000 passengers. I've watched reviews of those very large 'floating cites' and they just seem too much to take in on a simple 5-8 day cruise. Smaller ships give a more relaxed feel, IMHO. Sailing the Paradise out of Tampa. First time on Carnival. I've sailed Norwegian's small ships, Pearl and Sky and loved them. Especially the Pearl. I hope or should I say 'wish' the cruise lines would realize the elegant appeal of small ships but I guess it is a matter of maximizing profits. πŸ˜‘
  9. This was a wonderful review and I enjoyed living vicariously through these posts and photos. I wondered, however, about the drink count which seemed to be 15 drinks per day. Was this a personal goal or was this the allowable amount through a drinks package? Just curious. πŸΉπŸ·πŸ§‰πŸΉ
  10. There has been talk of retiring all the smaller Carnival ships. What happens if certain ports can handle ONLY smaller ships? Will Carnival no longer have service at those ports?
  11. Was hoping for FLAMES! πŸ”₯ πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚
  12. β€œFlaming…” does that mean it’s set on fire as it is served or is it spicy hot? 🌢️
  13. I would try the pumpkin soup. Pasty sounds good.
  14. Radler! Wow! Have not had one of those since my years in Germany! Refreshing!
  15. Nice to see that Atlantis has not changed since I was there in 2003!
  16. Well, that goes without saying.... a good bartender is worth πŸ₯‡πŸ’°
