I also don't understand trading 8 small,, sealed bottles that can fit in little empty spaces around the suitcase for one unsealed larger bottle. (Or even 32 small sealed bottles for 4 unsealed larger (leakier) ones.)

The Op referred to a gratuities package. When something is called a package it implies to me that there is a savings over just multiplying the daily rate by the number of days of the cruise. So I am asking if there is a gratuities package?

So, I've been away from these boards for a while but what exactly is a gratuity package? I know Celebrity took gratuities off the AI packages so are they now selling prepaying your gratuities as an add-on package?

We love Princess and I was so excited for this new ship. I think that is why I'm so disappointed. And, yes, you can cancel . We did. We had 39 nights (B2B2B2B) booked on her for this fall (her first transatlantic so I'd have plenty of time to explore the new ship) and that is now canceled. We still have a short New Years cruise booked with our grandchildren, who also have loved Princess in the past. I just hope we won't all be disappointed for even that short cruise. But unless I see a big turnaround we also will be back on the tried and true Royal or even Gem class.

I'm not sure I'd count on that. And, to clarify, I don't think corporate Princess are thinking through long term consequences. It seems like they're just throwing things out there to see what works and then changing instead.

There seem to be SO many things on this ship that just weren't thought thru. Putting Park 19 right above the Sanctuary makes no sense. Not planning well enough to have Park 19 open for the first summer of sailing makes no sense. No shade in the (adults only) Sanctuary makes no sense. Building a restaurant (the original Reserve restaurant) that isn't large enough for the passenger load so that not even 6 months in, they have to move, makes no sense. Moving that restaurant (and the Suite restaurant) to the only area to access the popular aft pool (with the only outside smoking area) makes no sense. I just don't get it. What does come to mind is the retrofit of the Island Princess and the mistakes they only realized afterwards so that the planned retrofit of the Coral never happened.

They'll be in Liverpool. You figure it out. I wouldn't expect the originals, though. Probably a tribute group. ***

For at least the last ten years we've ordered fresh squeezed juice (orange and/or grapefruit) at breakfast (in the dining room) and the waiter always asks for our cabin number. This was still accurate as of Oct. 2023. We've had some form of drink package since they came out and think the fresh squeezed juice at breakfast to be one of the best perks of that package. So I'm wondering if that will still be possible or if gets tossed in cost cutting. 😢

@BamaVol - Your pictures seem to be from the buffet. I'm wondering if it might still be possible to get fresh juice from the buffet instead of the juice bar. (Not the concoctions Princess advertises , just fresh juice - orange or grapefruit, etc.)

So another problem with moving the Sanctuary dining room to deck 8. I'm reading several trip reports about the smell of smoke emanating from the smoking area on the Wake View Terrace . What a lovely ambience for a "sanctuary" dining room! 🤬

When you've paid through your TA in the past does the charge show as from the TA or from Celebrity? Ours always shows from Celebrity (and I think any reputable TA charges this way) and so making a payment for a cruise has always worked in the past. My TA said she'll put the charge through for me on Monday so I can come back here and report. Amex lately has sent me an email almost immediately when I use an offer.

I can't find any photos - just the diagram but I can see from that, that there's a big problem. So , they didn't think through the initial layout and how it would work and now they're compounding the problem. The only way to an aft (beautiful looking) pool is through the suite dining room! 😨 We had 39 days booked in a suite but that's been cancelled and now we'll try a short 7 day before finally judging whether this ship works for us. If others follow our lead Princess better get their act together.

What is the view out the windows? And ,why would people be walking through a dining room at all? We've really loved Princess but this new ship layout just wasn't thought through at all!!! 😨

That actually makes sense. The only problem (for us, at least) is that all of the noise from decks 6 and 7 will filter up to deck 8 as it does in the MDR on Celebrity. The ambience of a special "suite" or "sanctuary" area just won't be there.

That doesn't make sense. That would eliminate the current walk-in casual restaurant that Princess is adding to all of their current ships in the new Dine My Way program/ It also leaves to two spaces on Deck 7 for the Signature and Reserve restaurants (that they've invested in furnishing) empty. I could see somehow trying to combine those two before moving the whole thing to deck eight. ***

Did you put the two $500 deposits on the same cruise or different cruises? I'm wondering if using the offer twice on the same cruise would trigger a problem. I just wanted to thank the OP @Stockjock for alerting all of us to this offer!!! 💜
