  1. Just saw this one:

A lady went to the bar on a cruise ship, and ordered a Scotch, with two drops of water. The bartender gave her the drink, and she said, "I'm on this cruise to celebrate my 80th birthday, and it's today."
The bartender said, "Well, since it's your birthday, this one's on me."
As the lady finished her drink, a woman, to her right, said, "I'd like to buy you a drink, too." The lady said, "Thank you, how sweet of you. OK, then, Bartender, I want another Scotch, with two drops of water."
    "Coming up," said the bartender.
As she finished that drink, a man, to her left, said, "I'd like to buy you a drink too." The lady said, "Thank you very much, my dear. Bartender, I'll have another Scotch, with two drops of water."
"Coming right up," the bartender said.
As he gave her the drink, this time, he said, "Ma'am, I'm dying of curiosity. Why the Scotch with only two drops of water?"
The old woman giggled, and replied, "Sonny, when you're my age, you've learned how to hold your liquor. Water, however, is a whole other issue."

So, how come RCL and NCL (plus the small companies) have a vax mandate??? 🙄

Looks like CCL is the Lone Ranger, holding up the industry! 😒

Its common sense. If 50% of the population vax, then 50% will sail.

Which is far better than what it is currently:  0%

I understood Arnold Donald to have said won’t be.  I was very disappointed. Of course, Princess is also not saying what will happen when COVID occurs on board, as it inevitably will. Will my cruise be interrupted?  What happens with B2B guests (and Princess is allowing logical bookings at least as soon as January 2022) when an outbreak occurs?

If that is the case, then I'll cancel my upcoming cruise.  I am not going to invest thousands of my hard earned dollars on the off chance there'll be no outbreak when there are passengers and crew member allowed on board unvaccinated.

And, according to the governor, the ship docking in Florida could not ask for proof of vaccination. So it can never happen.

I'd love to see him actually try to enforce it.  Better chance of telling people to not use passports to fly to another country.

"No shoes no shirt no service"

"This business reserves the right to refuse service to any one."

Private businesses have always had the right to require certain criteria from it's customers so vaccinations should be one of those should they chose it to be.

Also there is the question---do the cruise ship regulations come under the purview of the port authority not the Gov?

Canada now has a higher per capita number of new cases than the US. Over the past year, Canada was able to maintain a lower number, but the respective positions of the two countries has now changed. This is being attributed to a successful rollout of vaccines in the US, while the slow start in Canada in January and February left provinces like B.C., Alberta, and Ontario, fighting variants of concern. The percentage of the population vaccinated in the US is almost double that of Canada, 35.3% versus 18.8%.

So.....  it looks like they closed their borders more to protect the US than themselves.  (Too soon?)
