Lots of countries require you to pay for health/hospital visits before you can leave. If you ever need emergency care while in another country you must have insurance to cover the care or a credit card with a hefty availability on it. You will not be able to be medevaced out without it.

I bring a large suitcase on wheels and an overnight bag on every cruise (36 so far). I bring my luggage on and off myself. Never a problem.

I’ve done at least 6 cruises with 4 adult females in an inside cabin…no problems…fun actually!! My co-workers and I would cruise together twice a year. We would always grab a cabin near the spa or gym area in order to utilize the extra showers. I mean who spends much time in their cabin anyway? Have a great cruise!!

I went on the roll calls for my 4 cruises on the social media site this morning and I must say, not too much cruise chatter on them either. Yes, events are being planned and people are signing up, but not much discussion. I’m not interested in signing up for events with people I haven’t socialized with prior to the sailing. For instance, why would I want to join a M&G or a pub crawl or a slot pull with people I had no discussions with prior to the sailing? Those planned events came into fruition as a direct result of groups of people socializing and getting to know one another on sites such as this for many months prior to the actual sailing, not just sign up with a bunch of people you have no knowledge of…it befuddles me. “Sign up for M&G for 2nd sea day at 1 o’clock Alchemy Lounge!”—- I’m like who are all of you? No one has had any real discussions with each other on this social media platform. Why would I want to sign up?

I agree with all of the previous posts about the reasons for CC roll calls dwindling as a result of the social media platforms. All four of my roll calls here are dead. But the thing is, and I've mentioned this on my social media roll calls too, I find way more information here on CC than I can ever find on the social media roll calls. There's a wealth of information here that is easily obtainable through the various forums...you can't get that on the social media sites. I will always come to this site for my roll calls in addition to the others. Additionally, I find the other roll call platforms too impersonal.

2 more months and I will know if I made a mistake switching from my OV balcony to the CP view. I think it's worth a try, who knows, I may switch all of my Oasis cruises to CP view! 😁

One thing that is causing me frustration is many of the places I’ve found near Novana where I’d like to be do not have a room with twin beds available for the time we’re there. Those that do are above my price range. I am trying to stay under a $1,000 for the 4 days we’re there precruise.

It was very difficult finding a hotel in my price range and close to all of the action. I ended up reserving at Diana Roof Garden, Central Station for my TA in Oct 2023. I hope I chose a decent hotel.

I purchased the UDP for my upcoming cruise. I was going to skip the apps and sides and just order surf and turf...steak and lobster...not sure if I can do that though.

OOOOH, ok....the opposite of what I thought. Like I said, I haven't been on a ship with that bar on it yet so I imagined it was a huge bar area that was always crowded and too busy for it.

Oh, ok. I had read in my documents somewhere for my cruise on the Oasis that Rising Tide Bar was not included as one of the bars to redeem my drink vouchers. I wondered why and thought maybe it was one of the busier bars possibly. I don't know, I haven't sailed the Oasis yet.

I have never been to the Rising Tide Bar nor the Bionic Bar (although i will soon as I'm booked on both ships), why are they exempt? What is special about these 2 bars?

Exactly why I switched to only booking on Royal. I'm Platinum on CCL and Diamond Plus on Royal, so I've cruised both lines a lot over the years. I'm just fed up with the class of passengers on Carnival. I've booked three cruises over the next 8 months, all three are on Royal.

I passed up the balcony discount for my September cruise to try out either the CP or the BW (I went with CP). For my June cruise I went back to the OVB.
