Platinum and above get 2 days jump start on check in which is 16 days and everyone else gets 14 days and yes you can check in at midnight and the earliest time slot is 11.30-12 noon

Geoff the story was on the QLD 9 news and they said there’s 3000 passengers and 1000 crew and I didn’t know the Pacific Adventure held that many people and there was 4 cabins damaged

On FB nothing has been mentioned officially as a smoker caused the fire and a few passengers are saying it but it’s been mentioned it could have been an electrical fault

Yes it was a weird statement do you get on the other ships at 3pm so you don’t have to worry about the buffet

People do like to get on when they can and enjoy lunch before the rush starts , they don’t open the dining room on embankment day so it’s only the buffet

Think the Splendor holds 3012 passengers and I’d hate to be onboard if it holds 3700 passengers……I came off the Splendor on Wednesday and it was pretty full and we had a couple of crappy days leaving Sydney and everyone was inside and it seemed so full

The earliest time slot is 11.30 to 12 but if things are running smoothly they may start check in about 11am but not much point getting there before 10.30 because there’s no where to sit and platinum and diamond have priority boarding so they go first

Not sure why you can’t check in until the 14th but set your alarm for midnight tonight and pick the 11.30-12.00 time slot if you wish and then you’ll be able to print off your documents and you’ll have priority boarding

I’m cruising on the Splendor this coming Monday 15th and I printed my boarding pass & luggage tags 29th April so that’s 16 days

Not sure why you can’t print yours off at 16 days, I could print mine off at. 16 days with no problems

Platinum can print off luggage tags & boarding pass 16 days out once you check in , non platinum 14 days the first boarding time slot is 11.30 -12.00 but could get on earlier if their on time

If it’s only a 3 day cruise they normally go out to sea and go anywhere so looks like they won’t be going far but they are still being entertained and fed

Geoff the question was asked on FB and I wanted to know if anyone else knew and this person made a comment Well I was able to hotspot from my Samsung phone to my son's iphone. I was connected to the ship's internet and turned on mobile hotspot and my son connected to me and shared my internet at the same time. He was able to stream the cricket live while I was facebooking. Note I don't ever put my phone on airplane mode, and I believe that's why I could do it. I never use airplane mode when I travel. I turn off data roaming and before leaving Australia I divert all incoming calls to voicemail, which is also set to convert my voicemails to a text message. I update my voicemail message to tell people how to contact me. This way I still get important messages and text messages (which are free to receive overseas with my carrier). For various reasons I need to be contactable when I cruise and this works for me.

I wanted to connect the iPad to the wifi and the other person connect the hotspot to their phone so we both can use the internet at the same time if it’s possible

If you purchase a wifi package onboard with your IPad can you hotspot your phone you would need your flight mode on your phone and if you have your personal hotspot on and would it work

I like it now where you get 5 drinks for D+ and you can share your drinks with friends who don’t get the free drinks

Not true about booking with an Australian agent for gratuities to be included if you book with Princess for a ship going to or from the US gratuities are not included and the currency is USD ……if the Princess ship is going to or from Asia the gratuities are included and the currency is AUD, wonder why the differences

I would try and get a disable cabin so you can get the scooter thru the door and booking a guarantee you are only guaranteed a balcony cabin which may not be on. deck 11 but anywhere so call who you booked with and try and get a disable cabin

Royal Caribbean Ovation and Quantum have solo cabins but they don’t have a lot and they sell pretty quick they sail from Sydney and Brisbane

I’ve noticed on the Princess site if you pick a cabin over a guarantee they charge extra and how long has this been in for with RC they’ve been doing this for quite awhile but something new for Princess
