  1. Try calling Princess to get a specific cabin. Nothing to lose. you have everything to lose because Princess won’t and can’t talk to you about your booking so you need to get the TA to do the talking for you
  2. Bit hard to catch a train or ferry from the cruise terminal, you’d be waiting forever
  3. If there’s 2 ships in port one will tender at Shute Harbour and one at Airlie port
  4. We were on the Splendor in February and supposed to do 3 ports to South Pacific and got turned around due to a cyclone and did 7 days to no where and got good OBC plus 50% off a Future cruise
  5. Why say 830 when you don’t know how many had it, you should have said a high percentage had it and that would have done
  6. Would the crew know there was 830 postive cases onboard and was everyone told to mask up
  7. Hi Cheryle hope your enjoying the cruise even missing out on the 2 ports and hope they give you some OBC
  8. For that money it’d be just a basic cruise line with no frills
  9. You didn’t say what ship you’ll be cruising with, if it’s Princess the currency will be AUD
  10. Going to current affairs and there’s hope they’ll get a free cruise or some large compensation
  11. So your saying a non drinker can book a standard fare and a drinker can book a plus fare , sometimes I cruise with a person that likes the plus package and I’m a non drinker so I might need to call Princess and ask them
  12. If only 2 people in the cabin and one is a child it wouldn’t work one person gets the plus package and one the standard
  13. The first 2 people pay the Princess plus package and if it’s one adult & one child the child will get the same benefits as the adult except the child would get the soft drink package……they can’t split up where one person gets the plus package and one does not get it
  14. Qantas insurance is covered by covid and it’s found on your policy details under overseas medical limit
  15. If you google Carnival cruises one online agent mentions you are allowed a free change but not sure if that’s correct if you book direct, I know a long time ago you could do that with p&o Australia and haven’t heard of it for a long while, I can’t mention the online agent but might be worthwhile to ring Carnival and ask them….. I moved a cruise recently and was not charged a cancellation fee but the person said they normally don’t do it
  16. There’s no free change and if booked direct with Carnival you would have to speak with them and depending who you get on the phone they may allow you to change but don’t bank on it
  17. Check out google and when you get out of the bus walk one block towards the ship and 5 blocks up on the left
  18. We went to that one about 10 years ago and not sure of the name of the street but if you go up past the park and about 5 blocks from the terminal and turn left into a street and if they haven’t moved when we went there and bought duty free alcohol and cigarettes you had to have your passport or you couldn’t buy any items, not sure if it’s changed
  19. If you booked direct with p&o give them a call and see if you can change to something else in that category maybe next time if you like your cabin location get who you booked with to mark the booking do not upgrade but it’s only a request otherwise it could happen again if you leave yourself open to an upgrade
  20. You’ll have to check out the website just in case it’s updated
  21. Yes we got $200 OBC per stateroom and 50% FCC but in the fine print it says 50% what you paid less fees & taxes some people only paid a couple hundred dollars so they won’t get much but if you booked early and paid a fair price you’ll get back quite a bit
  22. I haven’t read all the post but here goes i was on the Carnival Luminosa and we left Sunday from Brisbane and nearly got to Lifou and the Captain turned us around and said we were heading back to Brisbane and might try and stay a couple of nights at Morten Island but we couldn’t due to the Splendor being there so we cruised down near Port Macquarie and arrived back in Brisbane today (Sunday) we had 7 days at sea and no ports but no one seemed to mind as we had plenty of food and smooth seas and no problems
  23. The ships should change to local time and every ship I’ve been on they always change the clocks
