  1. Make sure you login to your roll call , on our European cruise we did mostly private tours with other roll call members. Welcome to cruise critics.
  2. We did summit in March in a royal suite, love the perks with that or penthouse. Huge aft balcony, two bathrooms also hot tub. Free specialty restaurants very nice suite restaurant , two liters of liquor of your choice.
  3. When I do a 7 day New York City then Buffalo vacation like I will do again in a couple of weeks I have the same thing , but now I have some medicine to deal with that .
  4. There has been lots of posts on wines on list not available on the ship. If you have a drink package they don’t charge you for corkage, if not I believe it’s 25 a bottle. Limit currently for bringing on wine is 2 bottles, last year it was 4.
  5. I have only been offered a free inside cabin , we sail in suites. Another couple we are friends with have had free cruises and gets free drinks in the casino.
  6. For an upscale cruise in most “pay grades” MSc yacht club offers inside cabins, still get perks , butler , private pool area etc for a very reasonable price.
  7. We have done Capri and Pompeii, I would definitely do Pompeii. What I loved about Capri was ferry ride going there has a great view the Italian coast.
  8. Have you cruised MSc yacht club if so how does it compare with your current cruise . I know you mentioned it was somewhat in the MSc family. The size seems similar to sky suite on celebrity E class.
  9. In suite you get Luminae and indoor and outdoor retreat , love the outdoor retreat with there own swimming pool, hot tubs and bar .
  10. On our two visits in March first time there was only about 8 people dining, second visit almost every table was filled ( lobster was on menu) , we do it multiple times when we have a upper suite that includes specialty restaurants, if not we still will visit once.
  11. I miss the dvd players they used to have in suites , they had a small collection of movies you could borrow, we normally would bring things like Big Bang Theory.
  12. I have sailed out of Galveston about 8 times never had an issue with rocky storms. Main issue was fog .
  13. We sailed summit in March this year and last year in royal suite, suite restaurant Luminae was great , definitely prefer M class to E class for dining room. Indoor retreat was also fantastic, service couldn’t be better. Outside retreat is pitiful no bar or pool and no elevator to get there . We are booked again on Summit next year since that hosts our music charter that we love . For overall experience I agree with others who mentioned MSc yacht club which I have booked for late this year. Only celebrity E class can match yacht club since they have outdoor pool bar etc.
  14. Oceania sounds good , but I believe there ships are fairly small wouldn’t want to cruise to Bermuda in a smaller ship . I agree want to hear from Ken .
  15. I am taking a break fro. Royal next couple or more of my cruises will be celebrity suites or MSc yacht club but definitely interested in ‘ourusualbeach’ new line .
  16. Our first of 20 cruises on rccl was sovereign of the seas in 1988, also got engaged on that ship in 1990. Started cruising in inside cabins now nothing but suites.
  17. We sailed Liberty a couple of times when it sailed from Galveston, very nice ship , we did ours in grand suite. They have a nice play “Saturday Night Fever”
  18. 210 to MSc seaside yacht club 314 to rock and romance music charter ( our 7th rock and romance cruise)
  19. On our trip to Lexington in March we went for a family trip, but at the wrong time a week before the track opened which I heard was great and tried to visit a distillery on the bourbon trail on a Monday when they were closed . just go back from seeing the Fall Guy, super fun action movie with a great cast with some comedy also , highly recommend.
  20. My wife’s friend wanted to see Challangers ,since I am going we will see Fall Guy instead, we go to movies a lot , always studio movie grill so I can order margaritas and wife gets Chardonnay. I always watch Kentucky Derby and Preakness and Belmont stakes , did attend Belmont stakes in the 1970’s but not interested in attending anything that has 100,000 other viewers.
