  1. We also did a FO cruise some years ago now and requested a table for 2 which we were allocated. BUT next to us was a table for 4 and we were so close to them that the waiter took all the orders at the same time. We might as well have asked for a table of 6. Fortunately we all got on fine and had a few laughs. We always book club dining and now cruise with friend so we request just a table for 4.
  2. We were on Ventura in November 2022 to the Canary Islands and were very disappointed with the food choices. The "always available" choices were included in the main menu (steak, chicken, salmon) and some days I struggled to choose what to eat. On one occasion my OH had cheese & biscuits and we could not believe what appeared - 2 thin slices of cheese and a few grapes although he could choose his biscuits. Of course he asked for more cheese which the waiter brought eventually. We are booked on Britannia in September and hope the food is much improved by then.
  3. Thanks for all the replies. We have the plastic wallets and have used them when we cruised with P&O last year but never used them on a fly-cruise before as always embarked at Southampton. Roll on April.
  4. Hi everyone - we will be embarking Discovery 2 in Majorca on 18th April and flying out from Manchester airport. I know that you have to print off boarding passes and luggage labels but do you attach the labels to the cases before flying out? This is only my second cruise with Marella and not sure what the procedure is now. The first cruise we flew to Corfu and the luggage labels were waiting for us before boarding the ship. We had to attach them before checking in. Any information on checking in procedure would be appreciated. Looking forward to this cruise as the itinerary has a few ports of call which we have not yet been to. Many thanks.
  5. We are booked on B322 to the Baltic on 1st September 2023 but not had an email informing us that this cruise is cancelled. Wonder if it will be?
  6. Thanks for advice. I cleared out all cookies and now able to access our booking. Still waiting for a cabin allocation so unable to print off boarding passes and luggage labels.
  7. That's strange - wonder why I am getting this message? No idea so maybe I will have to ring them.....ahhhhhhhhh
  8. I have been trying all day to access our booking in order to check in, add credit card details etc. but all I am getting is "Our website is currently undergoing maintenance. Please accept our apologies". Anyone else having problems?
  9. It is now only 16 days before we embark Arcadia for our Northern Lights cruise and we still have not been allocated a cabin. Log in every day to check. Has anyone else who is on this cruise been given their cabin allocation? Will patiently wait until Friday and then try to ring P&O.
  10. We are due to sail on Arcadia on 6th October and have received instructions by email of pre-boarding requirements. After reading these I think that P&O are requesting (highly recommended) that you take a lateral flow covid test before embarking to ensure that you are negative. Do you have to confirm when boarding that this has been completed? Not a problem as I have a few NHS tests still in date until 2024 which I will use the day before travelling to Southampton. It's getting so confusing!!! Both myself and OH are booked in for our autumn booster next week.
  11. Is the Ocean Grill on Arcadia open yet? Due to sail on her at the beginning of October and fingers crossed the restaurant will be open.
  12. We have received the extra OBC for our November cruise on Ventura but nothing for our cruise on 6th October on Arcadia to see the Northern Lights. Has anyone else had extra OBC for this cruise?
  13. No not on Select fare only. We booked 2 balcony cabins for a cruise in November on Ventura to the Canary Islands on an early saver fare and received the email informing us that each cabin had been given £150 OBC. We have just this last weekend paid the balance and received confirmation email detailing all paid and the OBC showing. Very pleased.
  14. We have just today received the same email informing us of £75pp = £150 per cabin OBC for our cruise on Ventura in November 2022. We only booked a standard balcony on an early saver fare so surprised that we have been given OBC. The only thing that I'm a bit worried about is that we are going with friends on Ventura and not sure whether they will receive the OBC as well? We usually cruise together and I always book with P&O direct for both of us and pay the initial deposit. Will have to wait and see whether they are allocated the OBC.
  15. Yes that's correct. "where applicable" also means if it's more than 270 days since 2nd vaccine given and then a booster is definitely needed. Have a great cruise.
  16. Sorry, my mistake it is forward.
  17. No you don't have to show a negative test just confirm that you have taken a LFT test within 2 days of embarkation which shows negative. You also have to complete the health declaration which is on your CP and also have to confirm this again at the terminal. Everyone has to be vaccinated in order to board the ship and they have to show confirmation of this. Have you downloaded the NHS app? Your vaccine record shows on there and you can print it off (which is the best way) to show at the terminal. All the information is on the website and should have been emailed to you.
  18. R302 on Azura is showing as an adapted cabin and is slightly larger than a standard balcony. When we first started cruising we booked a standard balcony cabin on Riviera deck and is was perfectly adequate. It's also right by the aft lifts. Sorry but cannot find any photos. I'm sure that it will be absolutely fine. Azura is one of our favourite ships. Have a great cruise. We are booked on Ventura in November and really looking forward to it.
  19. If you have definitely calculated that there is less than 270 days between her second vaccine and return date from cruise then you should be okay. You do have to show your vaccine record at embarkation and you now have to do a LFT test and confirm this at the ship although you do not need a certificate to prove that you are negative. She'll probably be okay by the skin of her teeth. Maybe she needs to book a booster on your return home?
  20. Is there a reason why she did not have a booster round about May this year? I think that a booster is given approx 6 months after the second vaccine. A quick calculation if the last day of your cruise is round about 15 August shows a total of approx 264 days since her second vaccine. Quite close to the maximum days of 270. I would check with P&O to be absolutely certain that she will be okay or she could have a booster and that will cover her as long as she has it a minimum of 7 days prior to travel.
  21. Apparently NCL are dropping pre cruise testing as from 1st August 2022. Just seen this on another thread.
  22. I do hope that they get sorted out with regards staffing as we are on her in October and do look forward to going to the speciality restaurants especially Ocean Grill.
  23. Not received an email about OBC although I have had TWO emails reminding me that the balance of my cruise is due this Friday 8th July. We sail on the Arcadia on 6th October to see the Northern Lights (?). Anyone know what the criteria is for getting this OBC? or is it just pot luck?
  24. We also received an email about revised itinerary for our Baltic cruise Sept 2023. Now overnight in Helsinki and also in Copenhagen. Will probably look to do an excursion as we are there 2 days. Would have preferred another port to visit but not that upset. Been to both ports before. Booked this cruise as wanted to visit Tallinn, Estonia so pleased they haven't dropped this port.
  25. Can anyone let me know how many you can register with the Randox app. We are a group of 4 adults embarking Arcadia (hopefully) in October and wondering if I can register all of us via the app on my smartphone. Our friends are not very IT savvy and if testing is still required in October we will all take the test the day before embarkation before travelling to Southampton. I presume that myself and OH will be okay on my phone but not sure about our friends. The only other alternative is to use their smartphone for their tests and I can then guide them through the process. Any help appreciated.
