    At least I have a quasi-backup plan. We're going on the Viva on the Sept 13 ten-day Mediterranean trip ex-Athens; they have another ten-day cruise ex-Rome on the Breakaway (same start and end dates) with many of the same ports. If the Viva gets delayed beyond that point, I'll just punt and be mildly disappointed.

    I presume these deals are for new bookings, and not paying on an existing reservation.

    Had someone on FB report that their cruise in June of 2003 (likely the inaugural one) has been cancelled, as has the one following. I haven't seen it officially elsewhere, but all of the June 2023 Viva cruises are no longer on the NCL website.

    The only one I see a variance on among the major US carriers is United, which says it charges $75 for the first bag in "basic economy," Of course, if you can manage an upgrade (especially if you use their branded credit card to pay for it), that would go away. American and Delta say the first bag is free to Europe.

    It was working today (6/8/2022) at 8:10am. Maybe they fixed the problem, or maybe I just beat the rush.

    Well, after two and a half hours, it got down to #2, then said "no agents available." C'est la vie. UPDATE -- I tried again, and it quickly went through a bunch of folks and got me to a representative in about 10 minutes.

    I've had this problem. It says it's offline, but if you type in something afterwards, it seems to force you into a long queue. I'm awaiting to see where it ends up (I am now up to #20, started at #84).

    We've booked the hotel through NCL for next year's cruise, and there is a shuttle from the port to the hotel, and from the hotel to the airport. (Can't say if it's complementary or not; I'm sure the price is built in somewhere.)

    Queston: Is there a limit to the number of bags from a single room, or is it only one per pax?

    A silly question -- and I did try to search for it, but couldn't find it. If one gets an upgrade, does one get a new set of luggage tags? If so, and they don't assign it until the day before sailing, what does one do without a printer handy to print them (i.e., at a hotel in port)?

    If I went down one of those things, I'm afraid I'd look like Bob Parr in the first The Incredibles movie -- and get stuck in the tube.
