  1. If you do get lost, just start going downhill. You'll get to the waterfront soon enough.
  2. I could wear my tux for our Viva sailing next year when I visit the casino. Problem is, I'd look less like Sean Connery and more like Sidney Greenstreet.
  3. I'd like to see someone try and sneak that drill past the "luggage police."
  4. My wife (and one of her coworkers) collect such things -- which means we end up with two of everything in our luggage going home. However (for good or bad), our next cruise is to Greece and Italy, where Starbucks are pretty much nonexistant, so "no mug for you!"
  5. Here's where it helps to do a little research and planning. There are banks that reimburse "foreign" ATM charges (i.e., outside their bank network) and don't charge for the currency translation, if applicable. We use Schwab Bank, and I am sure there are others that work well for travel.
  6. The first pix of the Prima are coming out just now -- you can use those as a reference point until the Viva comes out next year.
  7. Same here, but for a different reason. Ours is a port-intensive one -- not sure we ever have a full day at sea -- so its use would be very limited.
  8. I come from The Deep South, where the toothbrush was invented. If were invented anywhere else, it would be called the teethbrush. 😁
  9. That probably was a relative term. 😛
  10. I have learned to recalculate what the new total price should be after any changes before I contact NCL. If it's a minor diff, I figure it's tax or something. If it is bigger, I have the rep go line by line to figure out what happened.
  11. BTW, I know there was some concern with the announcement that NCL wasn't going to rotate their MDR meals in the Prima class, like was traditionally done in the cruise industry. But after looking at the menu for Hudson's, I'm not worried -- it's quite a diverse menu!
  12. So is another famous paper towel brand -- Bounty. Let's hope they don't come up with Titanic paper towels!😆
  13. Nice article in "Food and Wine" about the newer food options on the Prima: https://www.foodandwine.com/featured/WorldClassRestaurantsParadiseNCL2022?sm_r=yVDDWDcid%3DDI_DIG_NA_NA_TAL_NA_NA_SHIPPRIMA_NA_NA_NA&utm_source=facebook.com&utm_medium=paid&utm_campaign=428053&fbclid=IwAR0PYDrx0xPDoALQvUwVmYwlpe4xpad7K0VN-D-u08xsqN7708X4K7qo2V0
  14. That's what I fear. After these cancellations, we're on the third cruise -- and the next likely target. Wondering if we should punt now to the Oct/Nov 2023 cruise of the Viva with a similar itinerary, or go with the Breakaway (with fewer ports we want to see, but it's the same dates).
  15. These are the ones that "disappeared" last week from the NCL website, and NCL said they were "sold out," right?
  16. I suspect this will be an industry-wide event, if it ever occurs. Once one line decides to charge it, they all will. It is pretty much a standard clause in all cruise contracts.
  17. And, just for grins, I pulled up that website, and look what it says for Greece, with an update date of today:
  18. "Pants are required to eat here. Shirts can eat wherever they want." 😆
  19. I figured that was the case about 10 days ago when I saw the pix from the Prima, and saw lots of Coca-Cola taps.
