That is unlikely to happen. We booked a cruise on Friday. I had to phone Southampton as the high tech website didn't know Britannia was cruising that year. A real person took the booking. I was prepared to join a queue but a real Lady answered the phone promptly. Sometimes the old ways are the best...speaking demographically. 🤣

Seems like there are folk who are expert on our demographics, know what we think, eat, drink and can tell us where we deserve to take our holidays. I'm impressed they know my opinions and likes.......before I do.🤣

Crickey, never thought of us as demographics. We cruise on P&O,Rc,X and NCL, take short breaks at warners. Eat at harvester, Toby carvery, Spoons and Gordon Ramsey, drive a hot hatch and took an escorted tour to Provence. We must be a nightmare for you clever pigeon hole fillers.🤣

Nice Post.We are prepared to be a bit flexible and generally get to eat about the time that suits us. We were a bit late getting into the MDR and wanted to be in the 710 by 8.15. We got in the MDR and asked what we could order to be out in 70 minutes...Order what ever you want. We will get you out on Time.

We got back from Arvia a couple of weeks ago..So many places to eat..We only ate in the MDR 3 times. Not ,grim, pub like or joyless by any stretch of imagination. In fact probably 3 of the best meals we had eaten in MDR's on various P&O ships. Folk onboard seemed happy. Perhaps they don't know about the cheese wheel days🤣

On Arvia we booked some restaurants on line before the cruise and some on board. Same with entertainment. On a 14 night cruise we only ate in the MDR 3 times. Join queue at 6.00, pinged at 7.30. If we wanted to eat before 6.00 we could book. We booked some things on board with the app, on the day. Including 710. The app worked fine and the booking system was fine. As good as the old days ?....we don't live there anymore.

P&O Cruisers - What are things like where YOU are?

We did an RC fly cruuse from Civitaveccia. Flight to Rome, train into Rome, train to Civitaveccia taxi to hotel, hotel, taxi to ship. Next time we will budget for a taxi from Rome to Civi. About €100, or so. -

We just booked a cruise to the Fjords on Britannia for next year. The website kept saying no, so a phone call to Southampton. I had a brochure, phone and tablet scattered all over the floor. A real live young Lady answered the phone first ring......hang on..I'm not ready...I expected a long wait. Very efficient. Well done Southampton.🤣 -
Cabin underneath the cinema... How bad will it be?

The stage for the flamenco dancer is just outside the 710 club. -

We were watching the flamenco dancer in atrium on Arvia. That's on deck 6. I did wonder how much it was appreciated in the deck 5 cabins. -
We used our £560 obc on Arvia and had to cough up £6 for 14 nights. Drinks, coffee a few speciality meals and a bottle of perfume. A couple joined our table at the afternoon quiz one day. He had 3 pints and the Lady 3 glasses of wine. I guess some folk like to get full value from their drinks package.

Take 2×75cl bottles and a 3rd one with a screw top.open the 3rd one and pour a big glass at the motorway services. Sorted.🤣

We seem to be getting emails from the chains every day. Harvester and Toby carvery 25%off. Flaming grill, bogoff burgers on Thursday. Gail has a taste card, 50% off. Don't these people know I'm trying to loose some weight.🤣 -
Embarkation day-what’s your favourite thing to do

We did that on Arvia. Booked around half a dozen slots. I was told. " don't book every night.". -

A little poetic licence taken Kalos.......Chicken and chips with a bit of salad.🤣 -
On Arvia the lifts were pretty much empty. If the lift stopped and folk got in to go up, or down a floor or 2, why should that bother me, or anyone else. Getting back on board some folk needed 3 crew members to push them up the gangway. They expected everyone else to give them priority and the crew to immediately appear to assist them....I can see P&O's predicament.
