  1. If I remember right there is an iron you can use for free in the laundry room on the ship. I have used it to freshen up a shirt before.
  2. I just could not see spending the extra $$ for the expedited processing, especially x2. Thats’s half of what I will spend on tips for the kids. We can wait in a few lines if necessary, I will get them done before the next cruise in November
  3. I’m sorry you did not have a good vacation. We all work to hard to spend our money on something we didn’t enjoy. However, this is the posters opinion and people shouldn’t bash them for sharing. This is what the boards are for. Some of my cruises have not been the best since Covid. I have enjoyed some more than others and try to find something on each I enjoy. Thank you for sharing and I hope your next trip goes better.
  4. I went in three weeks ago to get our kids renewed. (Yes, I should have done it sooner). We sail the first of June. I was told not to even think about trying it without the expedited fee. Looks like the kids are sailing with birth certificates this time.
  5. Thanks for the great review. The Magic is a ship that I have not gotten to sail on yet.
  6. In Theory you should be ok. I would also look at the airline that you are flying. If you are on Delta there are multiple other flight options that may get you there, if you are flying Allegiant they may not have as many options for alternative flights. Are you checking your bags or doing carry ons? I would definitely make sure that you have travel insurance in case there is an issue. Enjoy your vacation.
  7. So excited I love Cuban Coffee
  8. One point that no one has mentioned is that there are so many more ships to choose from. With Carnival adding more ships there are that many more opportunities for people to increase their status. Random Thoughts: Is a free drink that much of a perk if you have the drink package or a free drinks Casino deal? I agree, that when you have 10 people that are Diamond it is easy to do something special. When there are 100 it is much more challenging. I like the idea of a free dinner in one of the specialty restaurants. Carnival can control when it accepts the reservation for crowd control. Cost is also minimal for Carnival. I like the idea of reduced cost or free internet. If reduced cost still a revenue generator and no additional cost to Carnival. I would offer free pictures. Ie 5x7 for Blue, 1 8x10 for Platinum, 2 for Diamond. Printing costs are minimal, while perceived value is high. Also if you get one photo you are likely to purchase more. With the interactive TV in each room you could offer perks here as well. Free pay per view movie based on level. Again, minimal cost and easy to control.
  9. Congrats on the new job. Thanks for letting us know
  10. So if you do bring one on and use it, will it work throughout the whole ship or only in your cabin? I would think it would have a very limited range.
  11. Positive thoughts for you and your family. I’m sure Grandma will make a quick recovery. Maybe she needs a cruise to recover.
  12. A few years ago our son broke his leg and was confined to a wheelchair and we already had a cruise booked. We contacted Special Needs and they were NOT able to get us a room. We booked a wheelchair chair through Carnivals provider and we just kept the wheelchair chair in the room. It was a little extra tight but no issues. Carnival was very accommodating, as info our son was in Camp Carnival at the time as well.
  13. You can use the Carnival app onboard. It’s $5 a person for messaging
  14. Please let us know if you got the job.
  15. I am glad it went well, best of luck to you
  16. Agreed, Saint Greg’s Blog is the place for info
  17. Not sure i usually book the Fulton garage via airport parking reservations.com it does not say that on their site.
  18. I’m 6’2 and 300+. I have taken many a restful nap on the couch when not filled out. I am assuming the max capacity is in regards to lifeboats and muster capacity for that area of the ship. Having your grandson spend the night on the couch should be fine. My guess is there has been a time or two a third person has spent the night in a cabin for two on the “Fun Ships”
  19. We always part at the Fulton garage. Much cheaper than the port and they have a free shuttle I usually drop everyone and the luggage of at the ship then run over to the garage and park and ride the shuttle over solo. After the cruise we all ride the shuttle back over. They wait downstairs with the luggage and I go up and get the car and then bring it down and load and go
  20. No worries, I just wanted to make sure I was not missing something NCL also does a 3rd and 4th person free allot of the times
  21. Ok, I’ll be the lone person who was not a fan. I understand how they worked, it just seem that they took allot longer. If it was less than four floors I just took the stairs. (Which I probably should have anyway) If you followed the instructions they did work fine.
  22. I am not trying to get flamed. There are a few ships but not many that will hold 5 passengers. I do not recall a kids sail free on Carnival sale, as we have 2 kids and would have jumped on that. We have been booking adjoining porthole/oceanview. The total cost was not significantly more than all in one room. The extra space was well worth the additional cost. There are also some ships that have an an extra tub in a second “bathroom” deluxe overviews you may want to consider. I think your best bet would be a TA over a PVP as they may find a better deal on another cruise line
