The number was still good for me in February when I booked 3 M & G’s with two different co-ordinators.

I never got to the Pacific Princess - I so wanted to. I did a number of Collectors cruises on the Prinsendam and while that ship had a few more than 600, I found the service and food top notch. In fact they could have taught the O ship I was on a few things 😉 😂 Prinsendam was dignified but not sedated - If she were sedate, the Crow’s Nest sure wasn’t when we all shut it down with our piano man 😊 You hit the nail on the head. Our cruise on O was definitely sedated and the crew were very ambivalent. It was a big disappointment for us. We thought we had moved up - not. Trust me, I got flamed on my LIVE thread once I started pointing out stuff. I tell it like it is on all of them - whether it be HAL or any other cruise line.

I usually reach out about 6 months before or less. No less than 3 months out. HAL sometimes has email problems - if you don’t have an answer in 2 weeks, forward your email with a note that you just wanted to make sure they got it. I mention it as it happened to me. I know the co-ordination did not ignore my email. I’ve dealt with her a few times and she is always very prompt. If the cruise is in 2025 for example and later in the year wait until 2025 to reach out as the co-ordinations can do a shuffle on their ships in January sometimes (happened this year). But if it’s early in 2025, then reach out in the Fall. Hope this makes sense.

It sure is. it’s what I do have just done for 2 upcoming cruises and 3 M & G’s. There is NO need to fill out forms or anything else. It’s best to contact them earlier - to give enough notice and then update them with the final numbers 30 days out. it makes their lives easier. If there’s one or two extra, it’s no big deal. Not everyone drinks water, coffee, etc.

A bit of improvement Gerry but nothing to write home about yet. No exciting update except been unwell for the last few days - not sure if I really have something or if it is from the pain. Just the same, I am being cautious and not risking giving it to anyone until I feel 100%. Not covid. Unfortunately my foot is also acting up in pain - hoping the podiatrist can squeeze me in tomorrow. I have nothing good to report so I’m not LOL.

It seems there were a number of things lacking on our cruise. I believe (but I am going by memory) there was a problem getting to the ship. There was a massive staff and performer turnover on this cruise which I think accounted for some of the issues. JMO though.

You can’t buy CO is you are in a Neptune Suite. NS are entitled to Club Orange benefits on board.

Classical music is coming back to HAL. My one sailing on O was enough - one and done. If they had classical music on that cruise it might have helped as a small saving grace.. There was very little.

I’m kind of chuckling at the emphasis on the priority boarding. Last time we were in FLL - the priority line up was so long we used the regular line up. We were checked in much more quickly than if we had used the priority line. It’s the only port I have seen that issue, so far.

Appears I am a tad late to bid you Bon Voyage Tracey & Christine but I do hope you enjoy your time on board the Oosterdam for the transatlantic. Looking forward to following along with you and enjoying your experiences on land and sea. 🙂 We had a great TA on the Oosterdam in the Fall of 2022 - so much so that some of that roll call are joining us on the TA portion this fall. Happy TGIF everyone. Quick post - behind here between physio, acupuncture & being a tad unwell for a couple of days. Storm didn’t look too bad so I went to the acupuncture appointment. When I was done the acupuncturist took one look and said oh my, please be very careful. @puppycanducruise does this pic make you feel better? LOL - that’s out my sliding door - it’s greyish white because the snow was falling so fast and hard. Storm continues through today and the weekend turning to freezing rain I think. So glad Spring has arrived! 🙄 Prayers for those who need them and cheers to those celebrating.

I hope the storms are kind and you can get to FLL easily, Ann 🤞 Your pics make my mouth water. I love doing caviar in the PG. When you make your reservation do you tell them you are just doing caviar? I ask as I believe you posted in another LIVE thread that you didn’t have to pay for the PG dinner since you were just having the surcharge item. One time we ended up in the PG on escargot night (not on purpose) and when the waiter knew I was sad at missing the escargot, he told me not to worry and I had my escargot in the PG. I’m sure Michelle can too 🙂
