Question regarding "Free at sea"-promotion and dining
KeithJenner replied to K3nn7's topic in Norwegian Cruise Line
As already mentioned, they are tied to the individual, so can’t be shared (although I’m sure someone will be along soon to say that they could - things happen). Also, just be aware that the 9 year old eating free would be off the kids menu. We have been buying credits for our son since around that age as he enjoys a lot of the main menu items. Obviously you know what your kid likes. -

Yes, that is correct. -
Latitudes discount on excursions
KeithJenner replied to cruiseplease's topic in Norwegian Cruise Line
Sorry, I misread your post. I read onboard as online. -
I bought some AirTags specifically for this reason. The main thing for us is knowing quickly that the bags are in the correct airport. In the past we have been hanging around the luggage collection when a bag was in a different airport, and also when it was with us but was late getting in the belt. Just knowing for sure that it is there is a huge benefit in cases like that. If a bag does end up in the wrong place we will know very quickly so that you can report it missing and get on. Because of Covid we have only had one opportunity to try them out. We were able to confirm that the bags had arrived with us within 5-10 minutes of landing, and some time before they arrived on the luggage collection. It was very good to get that confirmed. As a small additional benefit, we also knew when the bags had come out without having to stand in the scrum of people, which made that a nicer experience. Overall I think they are worth the money. We keep them in a rucksack (or similar) in everyday use. They haven't been needed yet, but it doesn't hurt to have them.

"Standard" Latitude Rewards Points
KeithJenner replied to Serengeti228's topic in Norwegian Cruise Line
Yeah, it means you get whatever you would normally get (1 point for most rooms or 2 for a suite) plus anything else that they are offering (which I think is one bonus point on qualifying cruises). -
Latitudes discount on excursions
KeithJenner replied to cruiseplease's topic in Norwegian Cruise Line
The latitudes discount has always shown up for us when booking online for a few years now. For many excursions there is no price difference for children. When I look at pricing, our son is almost always the most expensive as they don’t get the latitudes discount. -
Latitudes discount on excursions
KeithJenner replied to cruiseplease's topic in Norwegian Cruise Line
You officially have to sail once aged 18 or over before you get your latitudes status, so they won’t qualify on this cruise. I have read of some people being able to get the status applied for the first cruise as an adult, but I’m not sure how reliable this is. -
NCL updated travel requirements letter?
KeithJenner replied to Sand and Seas's topic in Norwegian Cruise Line
Yeah, I’m your case the rules about flying into the US are relevant at least. For those of us who at no point go anywhere near the US it is rather less relevant. 🙂 -
Prima 10/15/22 Specialty Restaurants
KeithJenner replied to mjcatlvr's topic in Norwegian Cruise Line
I don't think that reservations have yet opened up for anyone yet on the Prima. -
NCL updated travel requirements letter?

Aren't you flying back to the US afterwards? They are certainly just sending them out to everyone though. We got it today for our Amsterdam to Southampton cruise. 🙂 -
Norwegian increasing prices closer to sail date
KeithJenner replied to rabadipscavern's topic in Norwegian Cruise Line
It will depend on how a specific sailing is selling. Cruises I’ve been watching have been reducing fares significantly as they get closer to sailing. If they are going up then it would suggest that specific sailing is selling ok. -
Free at Sea Offers Removed from Booking
KeithJenner replied to dsa181920's topic in Norwegian Cruise Line
The refund received suggests that it was there originally. -
Free at Sea Offers Removed from Booking
KeithJenner replied to dsa181920's topic in Norwegian Cruise Line
Sounds to me like someone has removed it in error. There is probably another reservation somewhere that should have it removed but hasn’t. It could be an NCL error or it could be the TA who got bookings mixed up. Either way it shouldn’t be a problem for it to be added back again. -
Yes, this is how it has always been. See the link in my signature for more details (it needs a few updates). Just one thing I would mention. Regardless of which order you reserved the meals you can still choose which one you pay for and which ones are covered by your package. Just let them know when you turn up how you will be paying.

How much to add another night of Specialty dining?
KeithJenner replied to hrmkr's topic in Norwegian Cruise Line
If you just want one more meal then you have to pay the price at the time (either the fixed cost - $49 I think - at Teppanyaki or Moderno, or a la carte at the other places). If it is available then the best option is to use the upgrade option. If you have a two meal package then you can get an additional two meal package at about 1/3 off. I'm not sure what the options are if you only have one meal via free at sea. Log in and check offer upgrades to check the pricing. -
Premium Plus beverage package = all Starbucks
KeithJenner replied to LG123's topic in Norwegian Cruise Line
We upgraded in April on the Jade and got though many bottles of Veuve, the majority of that in various bars around the ship. -
Viking First To Drop Pre-Cruise Testing
KeithJenner replied to Colorado Buffalo's topic in Norwegian Cruise Line
We are sailing from Amsterdam on a Thursday later in the year. If the testing rules are unchanged then we will very likely test locally on Monday. Before we get on the ship we will take a train to London (two trains and an underground), spend some time in London and stay in a hotel. The next day we will take another train to the airport, fly to Amsterdam, a further train to the city, do some sightseeing and spend another night in a hotel. Both evenings will involve visiting a pub or two. What use is our test in these circumstances? -

Suite amenities in Aft Penthouse on the Dawn
KeithJenner replied to eurodolphin's topic in Norwegian Cruise Line
Correct there is no Haven. There is still the option for them to scale down some benefits based on the room type (Ie owners suite gets things that the penthouse doesn’t). -
Suite amenities in Aft Penthouse on the Dawn
KeithJenner replied to eurodolphin's topic in Norwegian Cruise Line
The perks are basically the same. You just don’t have the Haven area (so also no bar/restaurant). Breakfast and lunch are provided in Moderno/Cagneys but there is no suite dinner service. Other than that you get all the usual suite perks). -
NCL already cancelling 2023 Viva cruises?
KeithJenner replied to SpacemanSpiff's topic in Norwegian Cruise Line
I assume they mean it is better that NCL do this and cancel a year out like this, rather than what they did with the Prima when they cancelled just after people had made final payment. -
The Spirit and the Escape, with the Jade a very close third.
