We are considering a Cruise on the Voyager in Feb of 2026 from Cape Town to Dubai with ports in South Africa, Madagascar, Oman, and Dubai among others. We are anxious to get your experience on the need for Malaria meds, or any other vaccinations before and during this cruise. We would like to take an African Safari while on this cruise. We understand the need to consult our Physician in light of pre-existing conditions, but would love to hear your experience with any medical problems after an African Cruise. We found out that we are both allergic to Malarone on a cruise to southeast Asia. I guess our real question is has anyone not taken anything and gone on this trip, and how did you do?

Hi PaulMCO, Would be most interested in who you might be using for private tours in Vibrant Tokyo, and how they worked out. We are booked in October 24 and found your idea of using the hotel as a base, and booking our own tours, as a good possibility.

It would be great if someone would give a detailed description, day by day, of the "Vibrant Tokyo" pretour. Please include how you selected dinner restaurants, which are not included on the tour. Any suggestions on where to dine and how to get around would be appreciated. We are booked on the Splendor October 24.

Is everyone having the same problem with Grandeur cruises Or just on my website. Has anyone been able to customize the butler services on any Granger cruise?

They have been looking into it for almost a week. Anyone else having this problem with a Grandeur booking. Have you been able to customize your Butler Service?

Has anyone experienced this problem on their Grandeur Booking? When trying to "customize" their Butler Service on an upcoming Grandeur Cruise, the Butler Service tab is missing,.even though they are eligible to have this ability based on Suite Category. Could it be unavailable because the Grandeur is not yet built, or is it a glitch in Regent software? Anyone else having this problem? Hard to believe Regent has no answer to the Question.

Just wondering how the new policy will affect going to lunch. Does the new policy mean that having lunch, for lets say 45 min. your chair is gone. Wouldn't all agree that one hour makes more sense. Strong possibility this new policy might create problems. Also would like to know what the cruise director on the Explorer means by " a long time ".

Hi Gary705, Very upsetting and disappointing that no mention of the holiday was made. Even more surprised that Dave, the cruise director, did not answer you. Just as the ship has Sabbath Services available on friday nights, the cruise director should have made Hanukkah Menorah lighting available to those interested at a specific time and place indicated on the daily schedule. It might be too late for you to take further action since you have disembarked , but you should make your displeasure known to Regent and include Dave's lack of courtesy. Would be interested in comments from others.

What was a typical vegan dessert other than ice cream?

Would anyone know if Vegan desserts are served on the Splendor and Explorer, and in which restaurants? If they are what is not to be missed?

Hello Hamasgirl, We are just curious what you mean by " covid vaccination paperwork process ". I thought there was no more covid paperwork needed. Please explain.

Has anyone allowed Regent to pick up their luggage from their room, and transport it to the ship in Miami and then take a taxi or uber to the ship. We would like to avoid a full bus. Would Regent object? Will you then find your luggage in your ship cabin? Has anyone used this method of travel?

We just found out that we have been assigned by Regent to stay at the Hyatt Regency Coral Gables for our pre-boarding night in Miami. This is for our February cruise on the Splendor. Also was surprised to learn that the hotel has no dinner restaurant. Has anyone stayed at this hotel? Would appreciate your comments about the hotel and it's location. Would also appreciate any suggestions on a restaurant not to be missed for dinner nearby the hotel. Not choosy on the type of food.

Is it true that all Caribbean cruises this winter and into next year, at this point in time, Miami to Miami, still require pre boarding cover testing?

In the past we have enjoyed having fruit and vegetable drinks made by the stand on the pool deck early morning on the Splendor and Explorer. Does anyone know if it still operates on both ships, and how early does it open in the morning.

That's great news about Viking setting the example for all other cruise lines by eliminating pre-cruise testing. Hoping that Regent will soon follow their example and simply require full vaccination status to board any cruise. Lets get the stress out of cruising and return to the good old times. Come on Regent, Make It Happen.
