Doubt it. Even though the whole ship is falling apart. Rusted out balconies, holes in the walls and totally worn furniture. They are only there a few weeks and they are putting in the Guys Burgers and EA Sports Bar. Doubt they will fix up anything else.
Not sure about the bedding, but unless something has changed since December, this is not an accurate description of the Freedom.

It was the same when I did YTD but has anyone ever got in to eat after 9pm:confused:
Sorry, we usually go fairly early and like YTD to have a table for two. I'm sure you could go as late as 9:30 since that is the advertised time.
One thing I am surprised by is the number of large groups that choose YTD and then have to wait for a table big enough to accommodate them. They would come at the same time each evening so it would seem assigned dining would have been better for them.
-
So what is the latest you have arrived at YTD?
When I did YTD the latest you could arrive was 8.30ish as the dinning room closed at 10.30 and with Trad we quite often dont get to the table until after 8.15
On my next couple cruises, the times are listed as;
Dining Time:Your Time 5:45-9:30

Great review, thanks!

Looks like they raised the price from $149 to $179 since we were there in May 2013.
We did enjoy our day there, our room was nice, staff was very friendly, spent most of the day at the pool.
The taxi driver even came back at an agreed time to take us back to the ship, making it stress free getting back.

Have you checked the Ports of Call forum yet?

9 days to go! We can hardly wait, but now we have to begin the cruise prep that can only be done in the last couple days.
It seemed like it would never get here.

I always book online and only call a rep if I need a change to something I have already booked.
-
Not for everyone, but the majority of the audience appeared to be loving it, kids and parents alike.
-
Good luck!
The later you arrive the faster it will be going through the boarding process.
If you can still purchase insurance, it may be the smart thing to do since you can't predict air delays, car trouble etc.

Would you know the comics if they gave you a name?
Yes I would, thanks for asking.
-
Thanks, I'll try that.
I was hoping there might be something like the piano bar entertainer thread.

I had a pair of new khaki shorts that came back pink, and none of the clothes I sent were red.
I have only sent clothes I didn't mind throwing away since then.

Is there a way to find which comics will be performing on your upcoming cruise?

CBC is for those that want rest and relaxation. It is not a resort where you would expect jet ski's, parasailing, etc. I don't recall any kids, but that doesn't mean they are not welcomed. It was a slightly older crowd as the resort guests are mainly from the UK. Very friendly guests and the staff as well. The beach is well maintained and you are sure to find shells if you like to beachcomb. There is no need for water shoes as the sand and sea is perfect. There are plenty of lounge chairs and shade. The drinks at the bar are not "watered down" but not overly strong, just right. I don't know what kind of beer or wine they carry because we were happy just drinking pina cooladas. The pool is fantastic, fresh water, which is a nice change from swimming in sea water pools. The restrooms/changing rooms are very big and clean. The food was fantastic comparable to what you would get on the ship. We arrived at CBC shortly after 10:00am and left at 4:00. That was plenty of time for us. I have not read a bad review of CBC on this board and I am happy I booked it and stayed. If I return to Antigua again, I would stay at CBC again. To me, CBC is what vacation is all about, rest and relaxation!
Thank you for the quick reply and review! We will give it a try in December.

Frito58 is correct, they do supply towels. They are white with green stripes instead of blue stripes like the ship. Lunch starts at 12:30 and ended at 2:30. Be ready to eat at 12:30 because they, the resort guests, swarm the food. We ate at 2:00 and it was still hot and good.
Hi, I was wondering if you can give us a short review of your visit at CBC in September.
Thanks, Mike

Is there usually at least one lounger on the extended aft balconies on Carnival Conquest class ships? And if not, any problem requesting one from your room steward?

I believe it says the standard gift card has no expiration date, while the promotional card expires 12/31/2014 if in plastic card form, or 1 year from purchase if in digital email form, so up to 6/16/2015.
