We cut the cable a couple of years ago, and for at least 15 months DirectV Stream has dropped the local CBS affiliate, since the Chiefs are often on CBS, I have upgraded to Paramount Plus for the Chiefs and other shows, Survivor and Amazing Race, wife likes Sunday morning, I hate CBS, but …. The whole tv thing and cord cutting is the slow death march of network tv.

The good doctor owes me an apology!!!! I was not sure of my memory, and I had to visit the HAL forum to validate my own lying eyes. According to the resident scholars in that forum, one JHannah and a RevNeal, I am now 100% that it is indeed a deep navy blue that looks black on the water with a white superstructure. I still have scars from that forum!🤣😇 jc

My only HAL cruise to South America 18 years ago, the hull was navy, not black.😆

Well, he sucked at everything. He was super hard working, and kept trying to suck in new ways. He was always losing and finding new ways of losing. If that doesn’t make him the best, I don’t know what could!🤣 PS, I kind of liked him. Reminds me of my first gradual school office mate from Boston. Kept telling me we need to go potty. Took me a few weeks to know he meant party.

Or anything else, that is equally transmissible? Most people do not take self-tests with them. If they get sick, how do you know you have covid and not a cold or flu if you don’t have strong symptoms? So many assumptions and judgements being made, when we all go out to the grocery, the beauty shop, the gym, church, work, almost nobody is testing any more. Reality is we all have to live with it. Now if I feel sick I try to stay away from people in general, but almost nobody knows when they have covid here at the end of 2023. Do you all realize it has been going on for over 3 years now. I still want to laugh out loud when I see people wearing masks below their noses when I am out. JC

I don’t know about you folks, but I enjoy cruising. Being diamond gets you a better price if you book a balcony cabin or higher. You get free drinks per day. Before that not. So, if the person climbing the tree, enjoys climbing, why criticize or try to convince them the tree is dead? I have enough cruises on hold to get to about half way to Pin…. Will I get to Pin? Probably not, because I love all travel and not just cruises, but I can’t say I am not envious of those who make it. CAN YOU?🤣 peace out jc

Since we now have vouchers for the 4 drinks the lounge is not as important. That said, we like going to the lounge and meeting people. You know the people there are experienced cruisers, which means they are less likely to do foolish things, which means hanging out with them might have a bit less drama. I like less drama. 😆

Well if you like cruising, and 4 day is the limit. I would just do the inside. Lots cheaper, and eventually you will get there. 2 x 4 = 8. 80 - 22 = 58. 58 / 8 = 7.25 aka 8. Other math 3 x 4 = 12. 58 / 12 = 4.17 aka 5. A cheap blend would be 6 inside = 48 plus 1 balcony equals aka 7. Lots of other permutations of the math… Personally, I would do it based on which is more affordable each time you book. Once you start booking balconies it is hard to go back inside. Sometimes inside or Ocean view not much different than a balcony other times not so much. Have fun.

This was a couple of weeks ago at the lake house. I was working on the Airstream getting it ready for our big trip in January. I noticed out the window that there was juvenile bald eagle sitting on the tree right off our deck. So, I shot a quick video. That tree limb is the favorite an adult bald eagle. IMG_5561.mov

My best investment, was a semi accidental one. We had a small CD with a S&L back in the 80s. We invested 1000$. 100 shares at 10. The S&L got bought out, the bank that bought it out got bought out. We ended up with Royal Bank of Canada stock, worth about 90,000$. I had the oppurtunity to buy as many shares as I wanted. I could have easily bought 20 or 30 thousand shares…. Actually, considered it. I am a dumba$$. 🤣

We bought a 100 shares 18 years ago at 40 per. Got probably $5000 worth of OBC since, worth over twice what we paid. Seems like a reasonable trade. Have about $1500 more in OBC coming for future cruises. If you cruise, RC having 100 shares is kind of a low cost no-brainer. If you are not sailing, maybe not the best stock to buy. At that point the value actually becomes part of the discussion. I, also, have Carnival stock, I just don’t prefer to sail with any of their lines… probably should sell, but not enough there to worry about. Who knows as I get older HAL may become more appealing!🤣 jc

About 25 years ago, I was playing golf at the club I belonged to at the time. The left side of the hole had a forest, and it was all out of bounds off the tee, the right side, had some small cedars, and a road, also, out of bounds. At that time my golf ball flight was a hook from right to left…. So, I always aimed at the cedars on the right, they were not tall, maybe 25 feet. So, I hit, it without any hook, and I was a bit on top of the ball, so it didn’t go high maybe 20 feet high. Right thru one of the cedars. Instantly a dozen juvenile turkeys came out of the tree.

I am currently in the sign up period, with impending retirement at the end of the month. I am reminded of the great RR words. There is nothing more terrifying than hearing … “ I am from the government and I am here to help you. What a clown show. It is clearly a system set up to make sure you know that no matter how successful you have been in life they are here to make sure you don’t think you are special. You are mine now! That is my feeling about the experience….

On an anti-Samsung and pro Samsung topic. I ordered a new MacBook Pro 3 Max. I think it cost as much as my first car. I ordered a Samsung T9 SSD drive. jc
