  1. Can someone let me know what is open on Azura please?
  2. I do agree, One of the things that shocked me when DH and I went into isolation was there was a huge number of passengers coughing everywhere who thought they could not have covid as they had been vaccinated! We felt obliged to report our symptoms as we did not want to pass the virus on but if we ever think we have covid on board again I doubt we will be honest. Those people went on to enjoy their holiday while all we could do was watch the ports from a distance. So as I said before, end the charade of isolation. Or deploy social distancing measures to protect us all.
  3. The requirement to wear masks seems to stop when a new cruise begins. On our last cruise we were told that cases of covid start to appear from day 6 so on a 1 week cruise no masks would be required, and only on a longer cruise if there were a lot of cases but we weren't told what constituted 'alot.'
  4. yes but it doesn't go far.
  5. Totally agree. What is the point of quarantine now? (Been there done that!) If we are meant as Molecrochip says, to get one with it, when will P&O resume nightly turn downs, have a full entertainment program, kids clubs and night nurseries fully open (I think they are not fully open but happy to be corrected) and stop their staff quarantining when they get covid (and yes I know they are having recruitment issues but it's not the only reason speciality restaurants close) so we can have an cruising experience nearer to pre covid times? As I have said before, testing masking and other measures slow the spread of covid amongst passengers and STAFF. In my view P&O are failing in their duty of care to their staff by relaxing the rules. But from the quarterly statement released the other day I read that since the relaxation bookings have increased so what do they care about passengers and staff?
  6. Especially if you are on Cunard, Princess or any other line that uses US dollars.
  7. Having caught covid in May on a cruise, the 2 things that would have decreased our chances of getting it are compulsory mask wearing and social distancing. It was ur 5th cruise since the restart, the first where the 2 things aforementioned had been removed. I would rather do that than spend another week or even a day in isolation.
  8. And theykept it really quiet. I have never been informed by P&O that the T&Cs I booked under have been changed for any of the 3 cruises I have booked with them.
  9. I've had the email twice, I think P&O are trying to manage our expectations. It's not just staff shortages, if staff get covid they are in isolation for 10? days. So if there aren't enough chefs or waiting staff with the right skills and training then speciality dining will close.
  10. It's not my friends who had to leave, they are in isolation on board. My friends saw 2 other passengers taken away in an ambulance.
  11. Thank you, megabear. They aren't too poorly fortunately.
  12. Just heard some friends of mine on board have got covid. They say 2 people were taken away in ambulances at Madeira.
  13. Lainston House- north of Winchester or ther are some good hotels in the new Forest eg Limewood
  14. In the past, I have accessed from the terminal building. You need the last 6 digits of your boarding pass. There's a bit more to it than that, select airplane mode and switch on wifi and select Pocruises_Guest_Wifi. But I haven't been on P&O this year so it might have changed.
  15. I am flying to Malta to board Azura from Gatwick in a few weeks, does anyone know if I can drop the bags at the terminal the night before? It's an early TUI flight. Thanks
  16. Thanks, it's not just me, my TA can't get the price down either.
  17. There's still hope for me then, I'll keep watching
  18. Thanks for the tip. It seems it made no difference
  19. Yes I have the screenshots. I have fcc to use by the end of September next tear but due to various commitments between now and then the dates I can travel are restricted. I really want to use the fcc on one of my bucket list cruises and that one fitted the bill. I also want to stay loyal to my TA who has helped so much with my issues with Princess (which I won't repeat here) nad it was the only package they are offering that suits me. It may be that I have to book another bucket list cruise via another agent. Lots to ponder.
  20. Thanks. I have never seen such a big rise before on any cruise. I was trying to co ordinate with flights and some city stays so it's not possible to do that if I have to wait for Princess to get back to a sensible price. I will look elsewhere.
  21. Hi I priced up a balcony on Island Princess ( Panama canal Janury 2023) the other day at £2299 and now it's £3213! ( Princess plus was included on both prices) There is no way I am booking at that price. That's just pure greed. Very disappointed with Princess
