  1. It is huge, isn't it. The natural light is very nice, maybe especially for those sunrise and sunset classes. I'm now planning to try some in October. Well, sunset maybe.
  2. Sounds like a design compromise, Wellness Studio against Grills Lounge. I'm in favor of making the public areas as attractive as possible, despite traveling in the Grills on our October QA cruise. The WS sounds like a nice place for stretches, pilates, and yoga. Has someone posted photos? - I only remember seeing a schematic.
  3. "Wellness" is a thing right now, with lots of commercial operations branded that way. Cunard is riding the wave, and if it is a tempt to attract younger people I hope it's successful.
  4. The ones we had last year on QV were honestly not very good. We probably left some uneaten.
  5. Maybe Cunard has always had more vegetarian options? PS Spellcheck misspelled pithivier
  6. I wonder if the larger number of vegetarian items is meant for younger cruisers, who might be eating less meat for health and/or environmental reasons. PS I thought that cauliflower pithier sounded delicious, first or second night.

    Bedding

I mind. Every 3 days is the sweet spot between the unnecessary and the necessary. It's more special than being at home, but only 1/3 as wasteful as every day.
  8. Your butler will deliver a plate of cold canapés to your room shortly before dinner. You can ask for hot ones instead. A nice accompaniment to your complimentary champagne.
  9. WHAT!!!!! I bet it was amazing. Bruuuuuuuuce.......

    Queen Anne

Same for us. I'm preparing for that wall-facing seat in October. I'm hoping that at least those banquette tables are spaced far enough apart that you're not sharing your meal with the next table.
  11. With that divider, could it be it's a Q4/penthouse? The Q5 had a more open arrangement in a schematic I've seen. Nope, I see the suite number is at the stern, as stated. So it is a Q5.
  12. We assumed that Mr Bates et al would prevail in the end, too. Nothing fun in knowing now that the wronged postmasters haven't received full justice.
  13. I didn't mean to make light of a nightmarish situation. It is a good TV show, but the story itself is horrifying. I'm disappointed to hear that the wrongdoers haven't been held accountable yet.
  14. We just found "Mr Bates vs. the Post Office" last night. Gorgeous scenery somewhere in Wales. Fun show, too.
  15. No brainer is right! As fast as a private car and a fraction of the cost. And thanks for the info about rebooking, too.
  16. Is that correct? I've been on the National Express website and they do show a T4 stop. Both going to and returning from Southampton. I have a related question. If we book a changeable fare in advance and then miss the bus because of a holdup in immigration (this is for LHR to SOU), can we rebook right away to the next available bus?
  17. The prices seem high to me, although my sense of cost is still stuck somewhere in the 20th century. Other lines don't charge for specialty dining. But Cunard is far from an all-inclusive line. We'll probably try the Indian restaurant when we're on board in October.
  18. We drove a few hours north to be near the center of the path of totality, where the total eclipse had a duration of about 3 minutes. Historically that part of Maine at this time of year is usually cloudy, but we were lucky and the skies were clear. The event itself was beautiful and mysterious and awe-inspiring. A thrilling experience.
  19. Just after ours (H426), and we also have an abundance of OBC. We will try to leave some premium wines behind for the rest of you.

    QA sea trials

Oh, they definitely forgot the coffee...
  21. Is it possible you bought it twice? If so, you could cancel both and then rebook the excursion. Based on my recent experiences, I don't think any major company still has a functional customer service department.
  22. That's a shame, Bigmike911. I remember when you lost citrus trees a few years ago. Your new Satsumas sound promising, hope they live up to their name.
  23. I’ve read that Facebook and Twitter can help. I would try customer service again, too. At least they should be able to escalate your request. Good luck - dealing with large companies can be difficult.
  24. I have no doubt that is the reality. The geek in my loves the data crunching aspect, and those are some pretty graphics. But companies routinely monetize our behavior nowadays (eg, all social media platforms), and the underlying technology has gotten increasingly nosy. But that
