  1. I would actually be ok with better cabin status or a suite than the casino free play. I get balcony offers, but if I could get offers like suites and less or no free play, I'd probably take it. If Carnival did like some others with a "Cove" like experience within the ship and offered that, I'd take for sure over free play.
  2. Anyone seen a rendering of this new pier/port?
  3. My cruise isn't for 6 months, but I am now putting all my docs together and doing final planning, I emailed them to ask about my exact offer to have in writing. Here was their response: Hi David, We Thank You for sending in this request. We are trying our best to respond to each of your requests as soon as possible. We see you are asking to verify for a casino comp on sailing later on this year. We ask if you could send in this request closer to your sailing date at that time we will be able to validate your casino offer. We thank you for your patience and we look forward to welcoming you on board in the future. Thank you for your understanding.
  4. To trick you into loving those better cabins for when you sign up for your next cruise
  5. You're not off yet? Let's go, let's go......
  6. Norwegian has a partnership with Caesars, was it them? They also partner with Atlantis in Nassau, Bahamas
  7. Call when you need. What they tell you to do.
  8. Door slammers are in the same species as casino "Button slammers" The ones who insist on slapping the slot machine button like the keyboardist in Gary Numan's "Cars" video But yeah, no need for slamming the door. If wind catches it once in a while, ok, but every time? Don't be a lazy slob, shut the door properly
  9. Eh, Miami is Miami Hot, humid, sand, sun, funny trees and salty water
  10. All Casino offers My Australia offers have been as much as $2000 in free play, balcony cabin and drinks everywhere for both of us. Caribbean (E or W) are usually something like $500, Balcony and drinks everywhere for one and most are drinks in casino (deal breaker for me) Europe, have an Aft Balcony booked, (I believe) $500 in FP and also drinks everywhere for myself.
  11. If we do the cruise, yes, I built in two full days in Lisbon AirBnB is like $95 EUR a night for a full nice apartment.
  12. That is true, and Red Bulls are included....I meant more like the bottled Pepsi products Thank you
  13. It also doesn't cover any bottled beverages you see in some shops. Only fountain beverages
  14. I don't drink alcohol, so here's how it was for me.... Soda or bottled water when I wanted Specialty coffee like latte's or whatever at coffee bar I also found that the frozen mango stuff for the fruity foo-foo drinks is good without alcohol. I could get soda and coffee in MDR at dinner of bfast/brunch Basically, anything I wanted anywhere I was
  15. You sound like us on Caribbean cruises. We live in Florida and done a number of cruises. Life can't be too bad when you say something like "OMG, St Maartin again? Oh geez, ok, if we have to.." LOL
  16. Ah, fellow degenerate....welcome! I'm a Caesars Diamond Plus and a few others, but concentrate on CET when in LV $500 is less than my land based casino budgets, basically because ship casinos are not the winningest. I have a balcony aft, free drinks everywhere (I don't do alcohol though) and I think it's $500 in free play.....good deal, and if I "paid" for it up front without casino comp, that'd be a few grand, right? So, I am paying about the same, but getting some added entertainment, because gambling is entertainment for me. It's mindless (I play slots), kills time and can be enjoyable (or frustrating). I live in Florida and have a pool, so no sun worshipping or people stew for me.
  17. I realize that, but I hope to not spend/lose that much in the casino. Many people spend a few thousand dollars on their cruise, I do as well, I just pay it a different way. It does sound like a few days in Rome itself may be enough Thanks
  18. It never really is....No matter what some host or "whale" says...We could always buy our "freebees" cheaper than what we spend to get them free....LOL BUT, it's kind of like a two-fer for players....we get to play AND get the free stuff, and I enjoy playing. It's relaxing for me. If I win big, all that much better (also guarantees a free cruise from them...)
  19. No, they can't make me and I'd spend more in the casino given the opportunity, I enjoy it. It's also why I get offers of $100pp 9-Day Med Cruises as well as casino offers to Las Vegas and more.
  20. When it comes to land casinos, you play less than usual your offers decrease or vanish. Casinos, at least land based ones have an expectation that you will maintain your level of play (hence, losses...LOL) which is why they give up those free rooms or suites and meals.
  21. They can be SUPER SLOW in returning emails depending on when your cruise is.
