Wasn't charged anything for my D+ drinks in October Oasis sail. but was charged a tax on my day beds. Nassau did increase their port taxes as of January 1, 2024

The shower on Harmony swings out. Also, the cabin, at least the CP balconies, are designed like the Anthem, at least the way the closets are placed vs the bed. The big complaint when Quantum was introduced many on this board vehemently complained about the lack of a promenade and the 4 distinct restaurants. The Quantum class has a 2 level Royal Esplanade. The 4 distinct restaurants were designed to accommodate Dynamic Dining concept, which I miss so much.

However, Odyssey does not have an indoor pool like Quantum, Anthem & Ovation.

You pay some taxes in Coco Cay. I have to pay Nassau taxes on day beach beds, somewhere around 10%. I'm sure taxes are also charged on private cabanas. However, no taxes on my D+ drinks while on the island.

I have the same feeling as it takes me 25 minutes from terminal to my house. However, the itineraries from Bayonne have become quite stale. I saw a sail out of Galveston on Harmony and with the price being right, even with the cost of the airfare. chose it. My sail was in early December. I had such a good experience that I booked a similar cruise for December, '24. The only downside to my experience was seated at a table for 10 and only 4 single males for the entire week. The only clue is that each was Prime or higher Casino rank. I usually sail solo, and this was the first time that I wasn't seated with couples or mixed genders. Last February on Anthem I was seated with 5 ladies.😜

At what point do you establish a relationship of your pin to your room number. When I transfer a $ amount to my room/cabin, initially from memory (?) the pin is your date or year of birth which matches the personal info on my Seapass.

As you evaluate the different cruise lines, ships, itineraries, etc. remember that the ships themselves are a destination unto themselves. IMO, the onboard activities are very important. For instance, on the Oasis classes, (my favorite) I truly enjoy the Aqua and the Ice-Skating show, in addition to other entertainment venues and activities.

Prior to the Pandemic I was able to get a van/shuttle service from cruise port to Penn Station and the cost was reasonable. Any recent experience or is this service still available.

No need as they use Facial Recognition Technology to go tjru Customs. Nice an quick. Best thing since ice cream. I have Global Entry and thinking hard about ceasing on my next anniversary. However, it's helpful when I fly as it provides me with a TSA ID # for easier navigations thru Airport Security.

In my experience the next cruise desk or land based Royal agents will not get involved with Casino promos. I usually call the Casino Desk at 888.561.2234 to apply any promos.

I kept getting the same message when I applied some 3 weeks ago. Decided to e-mail the request to shareholderbenefit@rccl.com with attached documentation and received approval within 2-3 days.

I usually get cabin # 12595 on about 95 % of all of my Oasis class ships sails. The primary reasons are-- the bed is by the sliding balcony door, love to see the people sitting and eating at the Parc Cafe and only 2 decks from the pool area and 3 decks from the WJ. Usually avoid the elevators as these venues are close by. The only noise that I hear is in the afternoon the music emanating from the pool deck and the evening piano player which usually stops at around 10-11 PM. Ps. My favorite cabins on the Oasis classes. Also, have to remind myself to close the drapes before entering/exiting my shower.🤣

I have an 11 niter out of Miami sailing January 5, 2025, that does an overnighter in Aruba.

Just a nit, Chop's cost is higher than Giovanni/Jamie's.

Was available on Anthem February '23 sail, but not available on Oasis August and October '23 sails.

Chop's +1 has not been available for my sailings out of Bayonne for the last year or so. Had to reserve separately Chop's and Giovanni/Jamie for our upcoming Anthem and Symphony sails.

So, in essence, even the Royal agents can't apply the solo supplement discount on the newly released itineraries. Funny, I'm able to get the promo discount on Odyssey April 20, 2025 (Easter week).

Pricing looks suspicious. Lower for 2 in cabin vs solo. Is this comparison same balcony level.

Did you try calling Royal directly?

I have more of a problem/concern with my bags not getting off the plane or on embarkation my bags are mis placed somewhere in left field on my deck. I've got one of the ugliest looking bags that I can notice it a mile away.🤣

Combination of both and especially at the terminal where a bottleneck occurs between the elevators and escalators. I have no problem wheeling or carrying my bags. On my December Harmony sail I had my carryon, backpack and my laptop bag and did a self-debark as I wanted to give myself flexibility since Bush Int'l is about 1:45-2 hours away. Good thing as my airport shuttle hit a traffic jam on the way. Otherwise, I take my time and reduce the hassle. By the way if I may ask, what is your primary reason for carrying your bags.
