Yes it is new. Have reservations on the Enchanted for our late February cruise.

Terminal is currently shut down for renovations to reopen in 2025 for year round cruises. Will be two Carnival ships there then.

Is the Catch by Rudi even open on the Discovery yet?

Did it once and will never do it again. First one was an hour late returning which gave us 30 minutes to find someplace to get something to eat and meet the second one. We then vowed never to do two in the same port again.

Already have a Sun Princess cruise set up for next year. May look at the Sky Princess to see their itinerary compared to others out of there.

Count the number of tux's in the picture and imagine a much larger group. Also notice the number not wearing s tux.

Love how some posters seem to want to help Princess take more money from passengers, raise prices and give them things they do not need or want.Why does adding drink packages, desserts and fitness classes make it "more upscale"?

I only had one false charge on my folio on a cruise. It was a $1000.00 charge from the jewelry store. It only took 3 days to get it taken off.

If Princess eliminates the Standard option many will cruise on other linesJust because a person has a drink in hand DOES NOT mean they have the plus package. Again it is a good value for some but not all.

And that works for you but not for everybody else. Plus is not a good value for everybody, as you stated.

No it is not if you do not use all those to any extent. We do not get mocktails, sparkling water, juice bar and do not take fitness classes. Only drink maybe W or 3 coffees on at sea days.

Ever notice that in every one of the threads having to do with increased prices and packages that the discussion always comes down to drinks and whether they are cost effective? Might start out different but it will always come down to drink price and how many a person has. Not just talking about alcohol but drinks in general.

Nowhere did I even mention the word Boycott" let alone call for an "I'll show them one." All I am stating is why do people continue to support the increase to their financial detriment? By your own statement they only need 10% to participate while the other 90% are pure profit. Yet many, like yourself, do CONTINUE to support the increases. It does not imply anything like you state. There are no facts in evidence that I do. Guests do have a choice as I prove it eveytime I take a cruise without paying for any of the packages or add on extra charges on the trips I take. All they have to do, like I do, is not pay for them and enjoy their cruise otherwise.

Tell me, what have consumers done to cause prices to decrease? Not a whole lot as they blindly accept the increases. I choose to support the increases as little as I can. The decision is up to the individual but corporate is winninghands down.

No blinders on at all. Totally aware what cruise lines are doing to their passengers. My question is "Why do passengers continue to pay these increases?" Many have expressed they do not like them BUT they pay them anyway. We cruise several times a year, have a great time and refuse to pay for packages or extra meals or service. Could we afford them. Yes no problem. Do we need them to enjoy a cruise? No no no. Want to see further increases and expensive packages? Keep buying them. We will not. Keep enjoying your more expensive cruises.

The Sun Princess is not yet part of the cruising fleet of Princess yet. Hod this same problem with Royal class ships until the joined the "official" fleet of Princess. Good luck.

As long as passengers keep paying all these add on fees and price increases the powers that be will keep coming up with new ones. Keep supporting them as they take more and more of your money.

Unfortunately the terminal in Norfolk is shut down for the next year while they upgrade to full year cruises. Carnival will have two ships out of-there when it reopens. Took a cruise on the Magic earlier this year and thought it was Okay. The 4 of us saved over $2500.00 on not having to buy airline tickets. Do not see Princess cruising out of either port any time soon.

Our cost of dining WILL NOT go up.
