  1. Tried the edit feature and it didn't work --- just kicked me out of the reservation. Tried 3 more times and got the same thing. Maybe the Crown Grill is just too full.
  2. So, I finally got my app to work so I can reserve specialty dining reservations. The problem is, I can't find anything earlier than 7:20 PM for ANY restaurant. My cruise is a 14 day itinerary to Alaska in June and it seems rather odd that out of the 14 days I can't find 1 day that I can make a reservation before 7:20 PM. Are the specialty restaurants opening later than usual?????
  3. Can't get the app to work. Think I will just make it a priority once I get on the ship to get it sorted out. Thanks for all the suggestions, appreciate them.
  4. Thank you for your response, I appreciate it. If I might ask a couple of questions: what time did you depart Seattle? How long did it take to get to Canada Place? Was there a bathroom break at the border? Since the bus handled the luggage, you did not need to claim it at Canada Place --- it was just transferred to the ship directly? We have luggage covers for our suitcases. If we had to have our luggage accessible for inspection I wouldn't put them on for our border transit --- your response answered that question. Many thanks for taking the time to answer my questions.

  7. Since I am going on Princess and Royal Caribbean to Alaska this year I have been visiting their sites as much as I can. In the past, a lot of us used to write our reviews on the Alaska board. Now, it seems that cruisers are sharing only on their cruise line boards.

  11. As always, thank you. When I looked at the apps on my phone it didn't show anything --- within a few seconds, it showed an update for 2.29.9. I am now up-to-date.

  13. We will be doing a 14 day Alaska loop (Vancouver to Vancouver) in June. Since we are taking the Princess Shuttle from Seattle, we will have to do an ArriveCAN to cross the land border into Canada and then do another ArriveCAN to embark the ship since we will be on a marine vessel.

Do hope that you get to go out with Glacier Wind another time --- we have been out with them many times and will be going out with them again in August. Wonderful people who offer a great experience for their clients.

For anyone who has taken the Princess shuttle service from Seattle to Vancouver and then Vancouver to Seattle, I have a question for you: I know I will need to fill out the ArriveCAN prior to crossing the Canadian border. On my return back into the U.S. do I need to fill out any other documents/apps or do I just show my passport and vax card?

  17. ArriveCAN app question: At embarkation, did you have a hard copy of your QR code or did you use the one on your mobile phone? Also, did you have to fill out another ArriveCAN for debarking in Vancouver? Enjoyed reading all your comments, thanks for taking the time to share them.

  19. Finally, something has gone right for me! 🙂Final question for you, I hope....I have a profile for my husband and myself on my desktop. Since I will now be switching to a mobile phone I assume I will have to delete the information on my desktop and open up a new ArriveCAN account on my mobile phone and upload all the information again --- correct?
  20. Fouremco: So, I thought I would try to see if I could download the ArriveCAN app on my Samsung Android and the version shows the update as April 21, 2022. However, I believe the website information said to use the latest version which is April 25, 2022. Any thoughts?
  21. martincath and Fouremco -- Thank you both for your help, I appreciate it. For some, I know this whole ArriveCan app is no big deal. But for someone that is not tech savy like myself, it is. If I did not have so much $$$ invested in this 14-day cruise (not a booked as a B2B but a 14-day Princess cruise) I would cancel this whole thing. We have taken this itinerary many times but this year it is so painful to go through all the hoops --- just venting here.
  22. Thank you. I will not be using the Arrive Canada app on my mobile device as my phone does not work in Canada. I will do the ArriveCan for the border crossing on my desktop before I leave home. After I print out the QR code, can I do another ArriveCan application on my desktop to take with me to present at embarkation for the ship? For the ArriveCan application 72 hrs prior to returning to Vancouver I can do that on the ship's computer.
  23. I ask your patience as I ask another question. Like I said, no one has EVER mentioned this to me nor have I read anything about a second submittal so I am a little foggy. The first submission will work for me being shuttled over the border and for embarkation on the ship. The second submission will have to be done within 72 hours of arriving back into Vancouver? FYI, I will not be flying out of Vancouver, I will be taking the shuttle back to Seattle from Vancouver (Canada Place).
  24. So, we are taking the Princess Shuttle from Seattle to Vancouver and will board the ship there for our round trip cruise. For our ArriveCan we will fill in the information showing what time we will be crossing the border (approx time) and then you are saying we will need another ArriveCan for when we board the ship a few hours later???? If this is so, this is the first I have heard of this. Please correct me if I am not understanding correctly.
