  1. We have day passes at RIU Palace resort in Nassau but it doesn't include transportation. They sent a notice saying to confirm the price with the driver before accepting a ride. Does anyone know approximately what the cab ride should be each way?
  2. Does anyone know if you can bring your own pool float to Coco Cay to use in the pool? I'm talking about a small inflatable tube to sit on. Thanks.
  3. Years ago I had found a site that listed which ships will be at a port on certain days. I can't seem to find it again. Does anyone know how to find this out?
  4. This information is so helpful! I'm wondering if we get there early and get chairs at a beach and then want to go have lunch or look around and go back to the chairs, would we just leave our towels on the chairs while we're gone? I don't want to be charged $25 if we leave the towels and come back to find them gone. And if we took the towels with us, then I'm sure the chairs would be taken when we came back. What should we do? Thanks so much for all the help!
  5. Thanks so much for the suggestions. For people who have been there, what area did you like best and which section do you think was most convenient? I'd appreciate any tips you could give me.
  6. Where can I look to find details about Coco Cay with descriptions of the different beach areas, restaurants, pools, etc?
  7. It's two days prior to your sail date, not two days before you would be going to RIU.
  8. Has anyone been to RIU Palace recently to use their day pass? Did you buy it at the resort that day or did you purchase it ahead of time? I was looking at booking it through Resort For a Day. Their price is $129/person with a $29 nonrefundable deposit per person. You have to cancel two days before your cruise departure date so if it happened to be pouring rain that day, we would have to lose the deposit in order to cancel. The resort said you can buy the day passes that day at the desk but I'm concerned they might be limited and run out and we wouldn't know that until arrival. I'd appreciate hearing from anyone who has been there and if you think the resort was worth the price and what your experience was like. Thanks.
  9. We will be flying into Orlando for a cruise out of Port Canaveral. There will be 6 adults and each couple will have 2 large suitcases, two carryons and maybe a backpack or something similar. Does anyone know if there is a shuttle from the airport to the port? Otherwise, we'll probably have to take Ubers or rent two cars. Thanks.
  10. I just checked the app and got the date. Thank you!
  11. We have an upcoming cruise on Anthem in April. Could you tell me what shows are playing now? Is We Will Rock You still there?
  12. Is it always 45 days ahead for check in no matter which ship? We'll be on Anthem in April and I'm trying to figure out what would be the earliest check in day. Thanks.
  13. happychippy, When you were at RIU, were there people selling stuff that were bothersome? Someone complained about that in a review. I didn't realize until I read it just now that this is on a public beach. Did you have access to any of the inside restaurants or facilities as well? Anything else you can tell me would be appreciated. We'll be on a cruise in April and are thinking of booking a RIU day pass. Thank you.
  14. I just sent an email to them to ask about the parking availability. Thanks.
  15. We have an upcoming cruise on Anthem which leaves from Cape Liberty in New Jersey. We have never sailed out of there before so I'm wondering where we would park the car while we're on the cruise and what the cost would be. We will be driving there the day before the cruise and staying overnight somewhere, although I have no idea where to stay. Are there any hotels near the port that would have a shuttle to the port and let us leave our car at the hotel while we're on the ship? Would we be better off renting a car from home instead of driving our car so we wouldn't have the expense of parking? I checked into rental car rates and it would be about $350 each way, which seems like a lot. Advice would be appreciated. Thanks.
  16. Do you know if the Baha Waterpark excursion through RCI includes transportation to and from the resort?
  17. I called about the same thing, initially saw the price at $62.99 and when I tried to purchase it, the screen went to the "Gone Sailing" message, except now the price listed is $72.99, not $67.99. I was on hold for 4 1/2 hours with RCI and they told me there is nothing they can do about the price, to just keep checking and maybe it will go down again. This is ridiculous!
  18. Thanks for this info, it is exactly what I was looking for. It sounds like Uber will be our best option.
  19. Do cabs in Old San Juan accept cards or do we need to bring cash? Does anyone about how much the fare would be from the Pan American pier to Barrachina in Old San Juan? And also the fare from Barrachina to SJU airport? Would we be better off taking cabs or Ubers?
  20. Do cabs in Old San Juan accept cards or do we need to bring cash? Does anyone about how much the fare would be from the Pan American pier to Barrachina in Old San Juan? And also the fare from Barrachina to SJU airport? Would we be better off taking cabs or Ubers?
  21. We are staying at the Sheraton Old San Juan for two days before our cruise. Does anyone know about how much a cab will cost to get from the hotel to the Pan American pier? I assume we can get a cab right at the hotel or they can call to get for us? Do we need to pay the cab driver in cash or do they take cards?
  22. RCI used to let you cash a personal check onboard to get cash for a limited amount. I'm thinking maybe it was $200 per check. Do they still do this?
  23. Years ago they had White Night where there was music and I believe a buffet late at night I think on the pool deck. Does Voyager still do that?
  24. Hi. Yes, we are on the same Voyager cruise. We're from Syracuse. We haven't been to a few of the islands on this itinerary but we're having a hard time choosing excursions, especially in St. Kitts and St. Croix. There doesn't seem to be a lot to do on those islands. We did book excursions for St. Lucia and Barbados that look like they'll be fun. We found places in San Juan to store luggage so we'll probably do that and then have lunch and look around San Juan until it's time to head to the airport later in the afternoon. What time does your flight leave on the 13th?
