  1. Bid the minimum last year for Santiago to Buenos Aires.   Notification of upgrade was received right after boarding in LA for the first leg of a B2B.    Found the cabin was not occupied on the first leg and was able to move in early for no additional cost.  Went from a BD to B4.  I knew where the Premium Balcony cabins where located before bidding.

Has anyone received a phone call from a man at Princess Cruises post cruise asking about my cruise experience? I told him I had already submitted the lengthy the post cruise survey. He pressed about any additional information. It was not my CVP. Never has happened before. Seemed odd…

It is the Princess group trying to sell the hotel, FCC packages.   We have received calls after returning from our last two cruises.

I would not trust thing’s showing or not showing on the app. Travel summary is what I take snapshots of

On our Sky cruise last month, the app showed the new Plus package.  Onboard the account showed the old Plus package as it should be.  We could have upgraded to the new package for an additional $10pp per day.  We chose not to.

I have unfortunately never been allowed to take out leftover pizza from Alfredos to enjoy later.  I've tried as I love cold pizza and always have leftovers here and have been told no on numerous ships.

On the Sapphire as regular guests at Alfredo’s early this year we were able to take leftover pizza wrapped in foil on a plate back to our cabin. !Leftover pizza is my go to breakfast.

Can someone post a picture of the a la carte menu at Alfredo’s?   Can you order just the pizza by itself?   Cost per pizza? Thanks!

We were recently on the Sky and dined at Alfredo’s several times.   When ordering alacarte we could order as much or as little as we wanted and share.  If using casual dining credit no sharing.    You could order the fixed price option, charge to your room and share.IMG_1782.thumb.jpeg.f5c6b7060391772e0f4f30f6c8c0b5da.jpegIMG_1783.thumb.jpeg.ba8926a9ee0519b6ca25a01895690142.jpeg

Let's hope they do reconsider. Alfredo's was always a fun place to go for a dinner when you did not feel like going to the more formal feel in the MDR. The pizza was really very good, and the staff liked working there, and it showed.
(From experience, maybe 20 dinners there.)

You do not need to order the 3 courses on the Fixed menu and utilize your credits.  We ate there two times on our recent Sky cruise,  ordered alacarte, salad and specialty pizza to share.   We did not have the upgraded Plus package.

Wow. That spread in Vines is for one person? There is no way I could eat the whole thing. My wife and I would be fine sharing that but I've read they aren't allowing sharing.

They do allow sharing if you request alacarte.   We shared for dinner multiple nights.  You can also order each item individually.

No bread or crackers???!  That seems like a crazy oversight.  What's that in the bowl?  Do you eat it with a spoon?

I think that night was a very nice tzatziki type dipping sauce for the vegetables.   There were a couple of bread straws like the ones years ago in the dining rooms.
We did speak with the Food Service Manager.  In fairness this was the first week of being available.  Work in progress.

We did order truffles only one night $3 for 6 pieces.

I'm a glass half full gal.  I'm focusing on all the places that I used to pay extra for that are now included.  I definitely plan to enjoy lots of Ocean Terrace offerings next month with no extra charge!  And I'm excited for the new offerings at Vines!

To whet your appetite for Vines.  A photo of the first plate we had onboard the Sky last week.   Crudités were excellent with a good variety of different vegetables other than the old standby.  Charcuterie board contained meats, cheeses, olives, artichokes, pickled shallots.   Only short coming was the lack of breads or crackers.  The truffles were outstanding.
my photography leaves a lot to be desired.

I disembarked Sky at the end of May under the impression that I would be emailed a copy of my onboard account within 24 hours of disembarkation. As I had not received this I phoned some call centre somewhere in the world to ask for my final account and was told that it would take three weeks and sure enough within three weeks I received some incomprehensible printout of my account which I could not make any sense of and that is with having been an accountant in a previous life.

The main reason that I wanted a final account was because there was a large amount of credit owing to me which I naturally wanted back and the printout that I had from onboard was incorrect even though I was assured that there would be no problems.

Eventually I managed to contact somebody in guest relations who processed my refund.

Lo and behold I had an email this morning with my final account attached - three months after I disembarked!!!

    Is this normal?

It appears to be the new normal.   Received final account for June 17 cruise last week.  July cruise nothing as yet.  Off the Sky this morning and as usual printed out account before disembark.   Will see how long the email account takes.

That's what I'm afraid of, but thought it might be better on a longer cruise? What in particular did you not enjoy on NCL Jade?

The lack of space in cabins.  On the plus side the bathrooms were good, larger shower.   Dining facilities congested and lower quality.   Pool area seating was nearly impossible to find.   Ship is very dated with brighter strong color and decor.
Your children will enjoy the Kids Clubs on the Emerald.   I would not worry about the language issue.   Children will find a way to communicate and many of the staff are bilingual.
