There was a special Tapas corner with many Spanish delicacies in Lido tonight.... It was so good that I had dinner just from the tapas... the "main course" and churros for dessert. 😋

It was Lido dinner, available at 5.30pm. We were in Arrecife, Lazarote, so a port day with 5pm sailaway.

Catching up on today, Sunday 28th April in Arrecife, Lanzarote Here is where NSDM was docked approx 5 kms (3.5 mls) from town centre. a free shuttle was offered supposedly to centre, but it was a good distance from the centre (about 1km) but close to tourist office and restaurants/cafes on the front. Being Sunday there was very little retail open, but we walked up to the shopping centre which had the usual range of stores (Zara, Primark, Primor cosmetics, Jysk, a supermarket etc) all open. we took a taxi from the stoes back to the ship for €9 (nine euro).

Not a certainty! Here is todays Lido menu and no mention of churros!

You may get lucky and miss Lerwick like we did. Only joking. They will come on to the ship and inspection can be slow. You will be given approx times to be "interviewed" and they work by deck. Each person reports to the BF officers in World Stage. You present your passport and on exit staff put a sticker on your key card, to confirm that you have cleared immigration.

Tonight on Nieuw Statendam It was not listed anywhere, but I am not complaining. I had dinner completely made from tapas

Viewers of Port Evergades Sailaways will understand the significance of this feeling of Deja vu! MSC Virtuoso was docked at the adjacent pier when out of the corner of my eye I spotted a familiar sight.........white trucks! There were similar trucks yesterday in Teneriffe.

Yes, agree. English language can be so open to misinterpretation. E.g. what is the opposite of 'easy'? Well it is 'difficult' or 'hard'. So, what is the opposite of ' egg over easy'? Is it 'egg over hard' (which is the way DW asks for them)? Eggs 'hard' could be fried or boiled. However if I had to order eggs in Dutch, I would probably end up a vegan.🙄
