  1. We saw the comedy juggler on Ventura in November, he was really good. Worth watching
  2. Thanks, let’s hope the coach gets in a bit earlier this time we didn’t get onboard until nearly 4 o’clock last time
  3. Thanks for review we are on Iona soon also travelling down by coach. Can I ask please how long did it take to get your luggage? On Ventura recently we travelled by coach and were also in a coach queue waiting to get in. Our luggage didn’t arrive until after dinner and even then we were still 2 cases short so had to go and find them . They were waiting just inside the crew doors just down from our cabin. Everyone else in the vicinity were just going in and finding their cases there
  4. We are paying less now than we paid for cruising back in 2009 so we can’t expect everything to be the same.
  5. Yes we have walked up to it many times but was always worried if we went up independently and there was a queue to get down we might not get back to the ship on time as they only ever seem to stop for half a day. Plus we have OBC to use so was thinking perhaps we use it on something like that. Last time we went to Gib and wanted to use our OBC we went on a whale watching trip. Guess what never saw one whale or even a dolphin.
  6. I was going to put this question in the Ports Of Call Forum but then I would have answers from other Cruise Lines which might not be the same as what happens on P & O Tours. My question is has anyone done a P & O Ships tour that includes the Cable Car as if you read the details , including the one that is specifically called Cable Car and a garden visit, it seems you only get the cable car up the rock and have to walk back down. Can anyone confirm if you do get the ride back down?
  7. I always think that about the expensive pieces of art they sell on cruises.
  8. What sort of electronics did they have?
  9. Can children use the Chefs Table, that is well behaved early teens or is it adult only?
  10. Thanks , as has been said at least you know you can eat at 6 and not have to queue.
  11. Does anyone know if you can book it for both formal/celebration night on Iona or if you are limited to just the one?
  12. Just go to the buffet and get afternoon tea there with no extra cost. The Epicurean one is much too sweet.
  13. Well even though the Cruise Personaliser says we could book from Friday and we have also had an email today saying entertainment is now available to book, it still isn’t showing. A bit annoying really , hopefully it will pop up soon.
  14. I am assuming the children in question are already booked onboard the ship but I notice as I am trying to book the entertainment which still hasn’t appeared, there is a bit at the bottom that says ‘ Children’s Club Registration’ followed by:- For our younger guests The whole family will be in their element on a P&O Cruises holiday. From splashing in the pools to braving the heights of Altitude, watching a film together to sharing an ice cream – all of your favourite family moments can be enjoyed with a vast array of age-tailored activities. The Reef and Scene children’s club provide activities for children with age-specific clubs and activities.' To register your child to use the children’s club, please complete the below form 14 days before you board. I assume this is what the poster is referring
  15. The menus each day have a little note on them saying single use only. After a few days we asked the waiter if they threw them away when he collected them off us, he said yes so we asked if we could keep them. He said of course, so in our cruise file now, unfortunately don’t know how to post on here, sorry.
  16. We were on her in November and MDR menu was fine. Not as much choice as there used to be but we had no complaints
  17. Thanks both, I love the theatre shows so don’t want to miss the shows.
  18. Hi, has anyone managed to book any theatre shows before they boarded for Iona. Our cruise Personaliser says you can book from today, but there isn’t anything there to book. I expect I will just have to keep trying and hope something pops up soon. Any advice
  19. Sorry I know I will probably get shot down for this as I did when I said this before in a similar thread. All of these incidents we are reading about seem to be the result of people consuming too much alcohol, they should get rid of these alcohol packages as many just try and get their money worth.
  20. Hi all, I’m sure I have seen talk of this before on here but need to confirm. On the P & O documentation for our cruise in a few weeks it says all first names ( or similar wording ) but it only has our first names and nor any middle names and there doesn’t seem to be any way to add. I’m sure I have read on here that is okay but can anyone confirm please? I did just try ringing travel agent , had a bit of a wait, asked a question about another cruise then she said okay bye before I had a chance to query this.
  21. The problem is not everyone is computer savvy which is why there are questions on social media asking for advice. I know you might say if they can use social media they can navigate the P & O website but it isn’t always as easy as that.
  22. We are on Arcadia next Christmas/New Year. We normally eat as soon as the Freedom Dining opens, so at 6 o’clock. So my question is for all you who have sailed on Arcadia recently. Is Freedom Dining normally busy that early? If it is would we just be better booking First Sitting, we usually get a table for 2 now as my Husband is nearly deaf now so can’t hear the conversations etc. I realise if we ask for first sitting we probably won’t get a table for 2 but hopefully won’t get an 8 or a 10. Of course all of this might be immaterial if all these rumours about Arcadia being the next ship to go are true.
  23. We came across lots of people onboard who hadn’t used their vouchers so they threw them away. They didn’t realise you could use them at any time it didn’t have to be the day they were issued or issued for, but it was a bit late when we told them that as they had already disposed of them. We used our sailaways ones on a sea day and the celebration ones on a casual night.
  24. Well you were lucky we never had the choice of beer in November just the other ones in you list. I had the sparkling wine , my husband the red wine. Does anyone know if they are still doing the Welcome aboard lunch for the higher tiers on Arcadia. It will be our first time being eligible and wondered if it was still going.
  25. Hi, yes we had to fill in the questionnaire in November but it isn’t there to fill in for our January cruise, apparently it has now been scrapped. I was wondering if you had to fill in one in the terminal like you used to before Covid ( which I’m sure people didn’t fill in honestly)
