  1. I hate it. We asked for more proper butter
  2. I did remark to my husband one evening that I was glad the steward wasn't coming. It meant I didn't have to tidy up. But that's just me, I'm lazy 🙂
  3. Last time we did it. We were behind and down from the Forum area
  4. On Iona Musak was everywhere. I hate it. It was even in the MDR though luckily my hearing is bad so I could handle it in there. I did complain about it on the questionnaire.
  5. Epicurean on Britannia was still excellent a few months ago
  6. Here it is next week But not two
  7. Of it is only a week It is still school holidays
  8. I'm a bit sad and watch cookery programmes. Epicurean was very bland. Presentation excellent but no flavour. That was the first time The second I played safe and had steak. Very nice, but not wow. The dessert was though I think Keel.and Cow is far better for steak. This is just my opinion though and lots of people seem very happy. I did cancel 5 bookings
  9. Difficult. The weather would have to be the decider. So planning for the worst but hoping for the best. I would go for Iona. You could then try the likes of Keel and Cow, Olive Grove, Quays etc during the day Also the cinema is a godsend. If the weather is brilliant you would be out and about and have to book another cruise. One week isn't sufficient for Iona
  10. Haven't tried the menu as it is only available on Fjords cruises I have seen the chef on TV though so I would definitely like to try it. I was disappointed with Epicurean on Iona recently so this would be first choice for me
  11. I use a credit card so I don't have to carry loads of cash around. I pay it off in full every month. It also gives added protection when making large purchases that cash doesn't.
  12. My husband loves salad. On Iona buffet there were about 15 different options every day so we went a lot at lunch time. We never ate there in the evening. However I did mention in another post our midnight buffet excursion. The Korean pork I had then was the tastiest piece of meat I had on the whole cruise. We did eat in all the speciality restaurants. So who knows
  13. I just copied the pages with our details on, amount of cover, and repatriation details No one asked to see it anyway. Just did we have it
  14. For excursion you can book separately. Just turn up together to get on the same coach.
  15. I thought this was an excellent idea. You only need to visit if you want to. There is no impact on the rest of the ship
  16. Would you let me know the cost when you get back, please
  17. No definitely not. You will be given some. 300ml no less. It is listed in the FAQS. Only difference is it is now on request
  18. We shared the first half of your cruise. I agree about the total lack of queues. Every other ship we have travelled on has had much longer waiting to get on or off. There is so much to do on board. We ate in nine different venues. Apart from Epicurean they were all very efficient. I was a bit worried when the Captain mentioned the storm. She doesn't really look the right shape for heavy seas. What a doddle sailed through the swell like a knife through butter, and so quiet. We will be back. I haven't tried everywhere yet
  19. It is not in the cabin. You have to request it.
  20. I received one of these letters on our cruise. Do I remember who it was addressed too? Do I care? I did have a great holiday
  21. On Iona there were only two acts. There were three on Britannia. Maybe it's so more people have a chance to book. We saw Lee Mead. I would recommend him. I really like the Limelight
  22. A direct reply to the question 'why cruise'. We came off Iona 1st April. One night (only one out of 14) there wasn't much we wanted to see, and we were tired. We went to bed at 8.45pm. We both woke up at 11.50pm. I said to hubby 'let's get some chips'.Where else can you have Korean pork and chips at 12.10am without going out!
  23. I booked this at home not having a clue what it was. When I was onboard and read the blurb, I cancelled
  24. I saw one of the accessable cabins on deck 15 and they are very spacious
