  1. We sail next week in room 9644 (Large Balcony), we'll report back how it was.
  2. Thank you, that is what I was looking for.
  3. With the ever changing testing requirements of COVID, I have a question I can't find the answer to. We are cruising out of Seattle on Royal Caribbean to Alaska with one stop in BC Canada. Do I need to test 2 days prior? (Wednesday for a Friday Departure) Or 3 days prior to departure? (Tuesday for a Friday Departure) I've seen wording for both, and I could test Wednesday but something just popped up in my life which will make Wednesday hard to test. I hate waiting until the last minute and test on Thursday. Looking for some clarification.
  4. I do the same thing... I don't have a pacemaker, I just enjoy a good pat down.
  5. I noticed that my iHealth tests have will expire this month, before I need to test. I saw somethings online about how the FDA extended there expiration date and found the release. Have you had any experience with that? Any issue when testing?
  6. Are you able to use your own tests or do you have to buy a test from them? That was the major draw to OnPoint testing is we could use the free covid tests from USPS.
  7. I have a question for those that have used the OnPoint proctored testing. I have an appointment scheduled, and I'm doing the registration on the Coivd-19 page as they requested. I'm to the screen where they are asking for my insurance information. Do they need that? Since I have the test, I've already paid for the proctored test, why do they need my insurance information? Can I just select uninsured? Really don't like putting that information out there if I don't have to.
  8. We've only cruised Carnival and have our first RC cruise booked on September 2nd. I'm excited to try a new line. The one thing I agree with is all the specialty dining and up-charging. I hate how cruising is going to the Pay-to-Play model. It used to be you paid your cruise fare and everything on the ship was included. Now you have to pay extra for certain restaurant's, iFly, Flowrider, etc. The way things are headed, your cruise fare is only going to include the room and everything else is going to be an upcharge.
  9. Working in the healthcare field this is your best option. I've seen people test positive months after infection. I'd do this just in case you fail the pre-cruise covid test.
  10. How soon to departure can you do this? I was thinking of doing it either the night before or the taxi ride to the pier.
  11. If its really that important, why not just leave them home and save the money on their room? Its a vacation, tell them to get out and enjoy something new. They'll survive a week without video games.
  12. First time sailing with Royal, and we just did our online check in. I was able to get it all done, but it never asked for my vaccine information. I remember reading in the forums that people say to make sure its uploaded for faster embarkation. Where do you upload it, or enter the information?
  13. I'm interested in using the OnPoint for the proctored tests. Are you able to use the free covid tests sent out by USPS for the proctored test?
  14. I did this too and it showed up on my cruise planner account in just a couple of days. My question is though, if I don’t use it for pre cruise purchases, will it transfer to OBC? So I can use it on the ship?
  15. I’m sorry, it’s on the Ovation of the Seas. The email also had an owners loft suite, so two different owners suites.
  16. We’re new to RC, and have never done the Royal Up bidding. I just got our email today, and I’d like to bid on a couple rooms. I’ve heard of people missing their bids because their credit card isn’t in their profile. I can’t tell if they have my card on file or not. How do you check to make sure your credit card is up to date?
  17. Maybe, I’m not sure. I’m not finding a lot of difference online. I’ve attached a portion of the Royal up email, maybe you can make sense of the difference.
  18. I got my Royal Up bid and it has an owners suite and 1 bedroom suite on the list. When I go onto YouTube to see the difference of the two rooms, it keeps showing me a 1 bedroom owners suite. What’s the difference between the two?
  19. I like to walk the different decks and try out different cabins. While the cabin staff are cleaning, I walk in and try out the bed maybe take a nap, scope out the balcony, hit the bathroom, maybe try different tooth pastes. Heck if I'm lucky I'll find some new clothes that fit me. On a serious note, we find it a nice time to hit the activities on the ship. FlowRider, bumper cars, laser tag, etc. There's usually less people in the pools and hot tubs, so it can be nice to grab a bite to eat, relax in the pool/hot tub and get a fruity drink.
  20. How has the cell service been in ports? We have T-Mobile and according to their coverage maps, we have service in each port. I'm not planning on getting a internet plan, just turning our phones on in port to check in on the kids. Curious how the service has been.
  21. I work in a hospital, and we require a covid test for procedures. If a patient has tested positive within the last 90 days, they don't need to retest. But we need a positive test to document proof of actual infection, not just your word. I'm assuming if Royal Caribbean would accept a letter of recovery, they would want to see that you're at least 14 days off of infection and a recent letter of recovery. And that's only if you keep testing positive. Again this is all speculation, RC may just say you need a negative test.
  22. We've never sailed with RC before, and I've been hearing some posts about free casino money. Does RC give every guest $8 in casino credit? How do you see this on your account once on ship? Thanks for your live review, we board in September for my wife's 40th birthday. First time going to Alaska and very excited.
  23. Thank you both for the quick responses, I appreciate it.
