  1. I took this on the Miracle in August.
  2. Do the tests have an expiration date? We will be cruising the end of September 2021 and next April, August, and October of 2022. If we get the 6 pack, can we hold on to them until next year and still have them be valid?- as well as having extras for both of us if a test kit is bad?
  3. Yes, many people thankfully told me that I got the wrong test. I too took them back.
  4. So you ordered this online correct? Why don’t they make these available at the local drugstores and make it easy for everyone? These extra tests are really separating the casual cruisers from the die hard ones. The amount of testing and id’s necessary is getting crazy. The CDC is really after the cruise industry.
  5. Thanks for the quick response. I will have to take these back. I should have realized they weren’t the right ones when there wasn’t a QR code or website on the outside of the box to have you create an account first😥
  6. I just found these at my local Walgreens in Arizona. They are $23.99 for a box of 2 tests. I am thinking these will fulfill our requirements for a Covid test. The clerk said these fly off the shelves so I bought a couple hoping they will do.
  7. Wow, that is quite a delay. As exciting as it is to go on a cruise, spending a few hours shuffling through lines is not a great way to start a vacation.
  8. The weather is certainly a factor for adhering to schedules during this time of year. I think the ships usually have sail away about 4:00 pm. When did the Panorama finally leave the dock?
  9. Did the ship arrive late? Was the extra step of checking Covid test results part of the problem? Did anybody tell you what the problems were? I so hope this gets squared away before the end of September when I sail!
  10. I will never know, because It was charged to our room and I wanted to get that $50 off of our bill🤪
  11. Just got back from an Alaskan cruise on the Miracle. The last day of the cruise, a box of alcohol was delivered to our cabin. It was a mistake, because we didn’t order any alcohol in the Fun Shop. I opened the box up to see what it was. There were 2 bottles- one of which was a bottle of Crown. I don’t know if the bars were serving it though.
  12. I checked in at 9:00 pm local time in Arizona for my upcoming cruise to Alaska.
  13. We have stayed in Vista suites on the Spirit and Miracle- sister ships to the Legend. The view from the aft is worth more to us than the larger interior of a Grand suite! The price is much better, as well. We always get a Vista View on deck 4. It has a separate bedroom, 2 tv’s, a jetted tub, a huge closet and vanity area, and 7 floor to ceiling windows. Deck 4 has a larger overhang which gives more protection from the sun, rain, and anything falling from above. The balcony railing has less of a slant to it which makes for a bit more useable space too. Definitely go online to look for videos of the Vista suites on YouTube. Different floors have different configurations. Not all floors have the separate bedroom which we prefer. There is more vibration on the back of the ship- most notable when docking. That doesn’t bother us at all, but some might be sensitive to that. Deck 4 had a laundromat by the Vista suites that came in handy a couple of times. There is less foot traffic all the way at the back of the ship too. We love the Vista suites so much, that we have 2 of them booked for the future. Good luck deciding!
  14. I would presume your points are gone. According to the Barclay’s site it says, “As long as your card is open, active, and in good standing, your Fun Points do not expire.”
  15. Thanks to all of you for the prompt replies! Having never redeemed these points before, I wanted to get it right and not screw myself out of the maximum benefit. Good luck to all of you in your accrual of points!
  16. Is it just me, or is the Barclay’s Carnival Fun Points site the least user friendly ever? I am trying to redeem the 100,000 Fun Points I have for the maximum value of a $1,500 statement credit. I have 4 different Carnival cruises booked, and only one of those is paid off. I am presuming, dangerous I know, that I can use that statement credit for any of the remaining 3 cruises that I have booked. Do I need to pay off $1,500, using the Carnival card, on one of my cruises to turn around and redeem points for that one transaction to show up up as a statement credit? The “experts” at Barclays kept me on hold for a couple of hours to then transfer the call to Carnival. Of course, Carnival said that they weren’t in charge of points so this was a Barclays issue. The next phone call to Barclays Travel Department was a waste of time, because that department only does hotels, flights, and car rentals. “John” and “ Josh” , and their supervisor from Barclay’s Specialist’s Department today told me I would just have to redeem separate transactions to get to 100,000 cruise points- doing that would give me $1,000 off for 100,000 points. The “experts” were only able to read off scripted pages and couldn’t do the math. This exemplifies why many cruisers do not bother with a credit card with such specific criteria for redemption! I would appreciate any input from anyone who got the $1,500 statement credit with 100,000 Fun Points. Thanks!
  17. I sent my request in on 5/27/21 and it was approved in a couple of weeks. The email that Carnival sent me said that the shareholder benefit is currently applicable to sailings through 7/31/22. In order to request OBC for sailings after that, I will need to submit a current stock statement after 2/28/22 when the new shareholder benefits are released.
  18. Since you are the first cruise, I would presume all of the rooms will be ready when you step on the ship! Everybody should be able to drop off their carryons and head for the food!🎉🧳🍽🍺
  19. I called today to get my double meta upgrade from a 1F to a BF. Previously, I have talked to 3 different people to try to get this done, but the computers would not allow it. Today when I called, they said my room had already been upgraded and she gave me the new cabin number. I was so surprised that they did that and didn’t send me a notice or anything. Maybe it just happened. I ended up picking a different room and had my choice of many on that floor on both sides of the ship. I am thrilled to have a balcony to Iceland!👏😀🛳🎉
  20. I am booked in 2023 though. We disembark on October 1st. I am presuming the weather will get much colder around then so they will sail the Prima back to the United States. It is my hope that will happen, as I have never done a back to back and would love to do a TA too.
  21. I tried to upgrade to a balcony today with my points, and the computer still wouldn’t allow it yet. I will keep trying back every week.
  22. It looks to me like the cheapest lowest category of balconies showing are all on deck 9. There are a ton of them on deck 9! Since we don’t have a full layout map of the ship it makes it harder to figure out a more desirous location for me. I am going to keep calling too, because I booked an inside planning to upgrade that to a balcony. I would also like to know if my cruise is the final one of the season and the cruise after mine is a transatlantic. Thanks for keeping me in your loop!
