It's on Starz and is the story of the three orphaned children and the political things going on with people trying to get power. There is the background of catholic and protestant religious changes. Looking at it with today's eyes there is also some heavy duty "grooming " going on which is documented in historical documents. M

Good morning everyone. Happy Canada Day to all Canadian dailyites. I just checked and the last times I was in Canada was in October 2019. I had plans for The Rockies. Vancouver/ Whistler and Canadian Maritimes in 2020 and 2021, we all know how that went. I have tentative plans for the Rockies in spring 2023, love the Icefields Parkway drive. amazing scenery. hope everyone has a great weekend! Mary- 101 replies

Living in SoFlo we need A/C most of the year. Usually 76 or 77 during the day a little cooler at night as the bedroom is usually warmer and I need it cooler to get a good night's sleep. Mary -

This sounds so familiar I have had to call the paramedics 3 times in the last year to help get DH off the floor. It's scary when it happens as he is also on blood thinners and he bruises easily. The paramedics have been wonderful and very reassuring. Hopefully the rehab will help your husband, loss of mobility is very difficult to accept. Mary- 108 replies

Loyal My Time Diner changed to late dining
Sea Viewer replied to motheroftwocats814's topic in Royal Caribbean International
Just did the same for our cruise on Allure next month. MTD was impossible last month crowded lobby for booked dining times and long waits. Of course no mask wearing or social distancing while waiting, Hopefully this will be better but we did enjoy several dinners in WJ on the last cruise so that is an option again. -

I have been following this story here in SoFlo, it doesn't seem right after how much time and service he has apparently given to this church. How was this not known until now? Mary

Good morning everyone from a hazy but calm SoFlo. @kazu great to see you posting again. Love your flower pictures, miss the spring flowers living in SoFlo. Looking forward to the drink recipe, I had a jalapeno margarita on Royal that was really good, I like spicy food but DH does not so I indulge on cruises! Nothing planned for today, maybe down to the pool this afternoon. Prayers for those who need them at this time and to those on the celebration list enjoy! Mary

Thank you for posting this. DH has mobility issues and needs an electric scooter to get around. On the last cruise he was having flare ups of some of his other medical issues and spent most of his time in the stateroom. As of now we do not have any cruises booked and I think we need to evaluate future vacation plans. I solved the moving heavy chair in the dining room by moving the table away so he could sit down and then sliding the table towards him. Fortunately we had a table for two!! The waitstaff was surprised by my ingenuity and told him I was very smart. Obviously couldn't do that with a large table. A few years ago we took his 92 year old mother on a cruise but brought a full time aide to help with her. It was a memorable cruise as all of the care was not on one person and we all got some free time. It is very hard when there is only one caregiver.

Good afternoon everyone, I've been following but not posting the last couple of days. Busy with medical appointments for DH, it seems it's always something! I had my 6 month skin check as scheduled today and did not have to have any areas biopsied YEAH. Just got home as the rain started so I'm getting caught up with chores at home until the rain stops. Best wishes to everyone Mary

@ger_77 As many of you know, over the past number of years I've knit toques almost every evening for distribution to inner city schools. Well I had a bunch of baby yarn given to me, but it was too fine to make toques, so I've got a new focus. I joined a provincial group "Prairie Blankets For Angels Volunteers" and am knitting blankets for "babies born sleeping", stillborn babies. When you think of it, they have to be buried in something, why not make it something nice and soft. There are 3 sizes we can make, 5", 10", and 20" square. I've already got a number of the 5 and 10 inch sizes done, and look forward to teaching myself how to crochet tiny angel wings to put on them. this is amazing that you are doing this, brought tears to my eyes reading it.. Good morning everyone from a very soggy SoFlo. It was raining all night, however the winds were light. Looking at the local news this morning there is flooding especially in downtown Miami as usual. Skies out my window are very gray and it's still raining. I haven't been downstairs to check the roads or garage, will go in a little bit. Don't think I'm going to walk to get my cortadito and empanada this morning. Weather should start clearing up around noon, hopefully the forecast is correct. Wishing everyone a great weekend, Mary

Good morning everyone from a wet and gloomy SoFlo, it started raining here a few hours ago but the heavy rain is not forecast until this afternoon. Only June 3 and under a tropical storm warning. Flooding seems to be the main danger with this storm. I have moved the balcony furniture inside just in case. Hopefully by Sunday it will be past us and we keep power on, I've got movies to watch!! Hope everyone has a great weekend and stays safe. Mary
