Did the cruise line levy a fee for debarking early? I have read here on CC that has happened to some folks. That would definitely be my plan... We rarely book cruises with more than 2 sea days in a row, so would be fairly easy. That was our backup plan on our May 10nt Pac Coastal to do just that... thank goodness we didn't need to.

Does anyone have actual experience doing this? I might be inclined to prefer quarantine OFF the ship in a hotel or AirBnb rather than a cabin without at least an infinite veranda. No amount of refund to compensate for that would be worth it.

We have started to do that routinely now. Never any cheaper to book R/T domestically and sure makes it easier when you decide that you need to make a change for whatever reason... and there seem to be quite a few reasons these days... lol

Certainly not an issue... it's about 5 minutes long... lol... we've done it while waiting in line to check in... or last time just waited until we were on the ship.

I looked to price check a couple of cruises and both said no cabins available at all… not possible at this point… likely an IT glitch or they’re loading something that went awry… lol… try again tomorrow.

We just cruised into Vancouver 2 weeks ago on Millennium and did not need to test except to fly back to US.

Same here… promised on the phone that they could see what the issue is and to give it “a number of days” for it to be fixed. Agree that this is a common problem that is generally fixed fairly quickly.

I'm on with Celebrity right now and my first issue involved an incorrect issue. The guy said that copies of the invoice would be sent tomorrow... after 2 hrs on the phone, I sure hope so... lol...

Also wondering how they will handle people who bring their own tests onboard and test positive the day before debark In Vancouver. We did this last week and, thankfully, were negative. You notify medical the day before debark that you tested positive on your own test... will they just conveniently NOT manage to get to you for the Celebrity testing prior to the next morning debark? Will be interesting to see how this goes.
