Hope you are right about US lifting requirement, at least for Canada since you can walk / drive across border without a test. ETA I just followed one of your links and see 'Book an Appointment'. Thanks again.
  5. A link provided by a poster states that 'most pharmacies do rapid test'. Looks like there might be several pharmacies near cruise port. Can any of our Canadian friends confirm this please.

  7. Recent experience on Majestic, there were no buzzers. First night was a madhouse, even reservations were a long, long line. We had no reservation; they took our cabin number, and we joined a crowd in a nearby area. So, did not have convenience of retiring to a bar. Afterwards we took your advice and made reservations each day using the App.

  9. We are on Caribbean Princess, New York to Quebec sailing Sep 20, 2022. We will no doubt go Emed route but it would be nice if there was a site at the pier. Hoping things change by then.
  10. Yes, we converted to Princess once we became 80 just for that reason. The Zurich quote on Big Box did not ask our ages. My guess is Zurich was $100 more than Princess, I did not compare coverage. True Princess helps when you want to add revenue 🙂
  11. Good news, I went to Personalizer in MC App and Travel Insurance link said 'contact TA or us' contacted Princess and they added Princess Insurance. BTW Big Box TA did have an option on their booking confirmation, the link went to Zurich Insurance. Don't know if they would provide Princes Insurance.

  13. I wondered about Internet reliability and the proctoring process, wondered if there was a test site at the pier. We are overnight on the ship and would fly home after that.
  14. So you think Quebec suggestion is to test at Vancouver airport 🙂 Just kidding, I guess I was asking if there is a location at the airport or better yet near cruise terminal since we will be there overnight.

I can see why a check in person might think Thursday is more than 3 days, and of course they are not Princess employees, so we don't know how much detailed training they or their supervisors have. I would be prepared to point out to them that 72 hours takes you back to 4:00 Thursday and 3 Days is more lenient than that, as stated by Princess.

I stand on the step into the bathroom to see that top shelf above the hanging area, I am vertically challenged and probably can't see all the way back 🙂 DW recently left prescription reading glasses on the open bedside table, probably got pushed all the way back and you can't see them unless kneeling down. We do open all draws before we leave.
  18. We had two instances once DW and once me, where we were hospitalized. Insurance is not a lot of money; our TA always includes it when she makes a quote but this time the booking went through without it. Also Book with Confidence only covers Covid cancellations.

  20. Agree, they misinterpreted the rules - assuming 4:00 Sail, if it had been 72 hours that would be back to 4:00 Wednesday. 3 Days means back to any time Wednesday. Wow, now that I think about it, I guess you don't count Sail Day!
