  1. Morning allπŸ™‚ Oh no ! I seem to miss all the exciting things like when night falls and dawn breaks . I never hear them and now spring but to be fair it was at 5.24pm and I was watching Flog It on telly ,so was distracted πŸ˜‰ When out and about I see the daffodils are up and looking fine . Which tells me that it must be spring πŸ™‚ Have a good day everyone
  2. If you post any pics of an upside down cake ,let us know Pete πŸ˜‰
  3. Too true ,I just had an e-mail off P&O stating that if I want to see Olly Murs live then reply now. I think they chose the wrong person to send threatening / ransomware mail to and I will just ignore any further demands from them .
  4. I had an e-mail telling me they had hacked my PC and had all my passwords . So I fired an e-mail back saying prove it ? They sent me everything Bank ,insurance etc😲 I wrote back thanking them as that's the best forgot password service I know of .
  5. It's not nice getting spam e-mails ,more so if your a vegetarian. Should you get an email with the subject "knock knock", don't open it. It's just a Jehovah Witness working from home. What you need is a right good password, I just changed my password to Hercules on Twitter and they say my password is very strong πŸ₯΄ Just be very careful who you subscribe to as well . I signed up to Rolex ,only to find I had been put on a watch list πŸ˜‰ It's a mad world out there πŸ™‚
  6. Once you have sent off for it ,you will get an e-mail that invites you to track the progress. I sent off to renew my passport and sent with a few months left, so sent it Signed for post on the 27th of January. Passport kept me informed ... Application history Status Date Passport printed 7:34am on 17 February 2023 Application approved 10:04am on 16 February Documents received 1:57pm on 13 February. Fingers crossed you should be ok .
  7. Morning everyoneπŸ™‚ I have just been searching our family tree and I think one of my aunties is 80% Irish. Her name is Iris . Here's one you may like ... Two Irish farmers are walking down a road towards the pub, after a long days work, when they hear a motorcycle behind them. They are totally shocked to find that when the bike passes them, the biker is headless. The two men look at each other shocked but carry on walking . They continue down the road because the call of the pub is getting stronger. As they go, a cyclist comes up behind them and, on passing them, he too is seen to be headless. The two old men now looked really shocked but carry on towards the pub .. After a few minutes, Mick, who's walking along the inside, turns to his companion and says, "You know what Shamus, I be thinkin' dat maybe you should be carryin' dat dere scythe on yer other shoulder!" πŸ˜‰
  8. Never mind ,to take your mind off it you could watch ARVIA (our vera ) naming that starts in a couple of minutes .
  9. These guys help stop them if you report them . https://www.ncsc.gov.uk/collection/phishing-scams/report-scam-email#section_1
  10. Same here but my Mrs 's phone is contract so sorted there . I am led to believe that google map will work without wi-fi /data same as your sat-nav would. Just need to download map before setting off . Still learning myself Wowzz and worst comes to worst I still have my sat-nav.
  11. Our lad who does HGV uses it daily to guide his truck up and down the country . I also found this on Google ... On average, Google Maps uses around 2.19MB of data for every hour you're on the road. For comparison, Spotify uses the same amount of data to play a three-minute song. If you have a 1GB data cap, it would take you over 457 hours of driving with Google Maps to reach your limit.
  12. Yesterday was an online shopping day for me . Our Granddaughter was showing us how Google maps worked when out in a car . Our trusty old Sat Nav is good but the maps are out of date and it would be cheaper to buy a new one ,than update . The other option was to buy a new car with one built inπŸ™„ So I looked online at Halfords and decided on a smart phone cradle that would cost Β£16 and a fiver P&P if I spent under Β£20 . So I bought a concentrate screen wash taking my bill to 20.99 . Ordered yesterday here this morning . Now that's what I call shoppingπŸ™‚ No more maps showing me in a cow field asking me to "Take The Next Left "πŸ₯΄
  13. Morning all hope everyone's ok πŸ™‚ Men going shopping can seem strange and things like Josy's hubby intent on going first thing ,I'm sure there is a reasonable explanation ? Like he wants to buy a morning suit Hope Pam's hubby has a great birthday too with his family and they don't force him to go shopping as it's a well known fact us men are useless at shopping when under the supervision of our women . The Mrs tried to get me to buy a camouflage shirt but I couldn't see my self wearing it . Have a good day and take care
  14. Most likely sat in their super yacht cruisers in the Caribbean islands . Nice of you to think of them though πŸ˜‰
  15. Oh yes they do πŸ™‚ I was struggling for a company to cover me until my heart consultant gave me clearance to travel a week or so back. A lot of companies still will not insure me or it was silly money cost but Staysure would insure me. Everyone's different so shop around and find a insurer that covers your conditions. Good luck with your consultant , we will be crossing our fingers for you πŸ™‚
  16. I remember playing football in a car park that was all limestone chippings , but we still won on aggregate πŸ˜‰
  17. Loads of them on the motorway's . One thought essential travel was nipping out to see a theatre show that was in Manchester from her home in Lincoln. She moaned that she got stuck with no food, drink and bursting for a pee for over nine hours ! I normally do it in 2 hours she said .πŸ₯΄
  18. I tried that once with a dictionary ,never could finish it once I got up to P πŸ˜‰
  19. So if anyone asks me do I know when West Ham kick off ? I can tell them about every ten minutes 🀣
  20. The snow really came down last night ,we had reports of a gritter wagon getting stuck on a nearby main road . Seems weird looking at Grahams "tropical crab looking" prawn cocktail basking in the sunlight and Purdy's lovely hotel, then look out the window only to see a foot of snow on the ground . Same as others a day staying in and keeping warm. Looking at the TV there's not much to watch either ,same old but the Mrs tells me Crufts is on later and it's got Claire Balding in it . I wish the woman luck ,about time she won summat πŸ˜‰ Keep warm keep safe
