Just had a look on You Tube and their is films of winter lettuce being grown in the UK. I'm no expert on lettuce growing but I'm sure with farming technology more could be produced .Not saying a variety we normally have or even the price . -

True , a ham salad sandwich without the salad is a ham sandwich π I think our country could do better growing our own lettuce etc. Same as others I have ate salads all year round from being a kid growing up. -

Growing up my Mum used to feed me with the four seasons, which was ok until my dad got home. He preferred Jim Reeves but the lettuce tasted the same to me . -

Look on the bright Josey π You could go out for a meal and you don't have to tell us where you have been due to faulty Sat-Nav ? Maybe Mazda have built in non disclosure agreement in the car too ?π€ -

My only gripe is ,I sent it signed for and sat almost two days, 8am -8pm one day looking out for it . Hope this helps . -
Very much indeed. A few years ago we used to buy our annual travel insurance for under Β£250,then came my Mrs "heart" condition and that took it up about Β£40 or so. Then came my condition , a totally different heart condition . Most insurance companies were having non of it but a small few would insure us but at an eyewatering cost to us. Unless your comparing things that the insurance companies think are minor ,you are going to pay a lot more for it .

Morning all, hope your all good today π It's a bit windy around where we live as well and it's dustbin day for the one that weighs next to nowt as it only has paper and cardboard in it . We have given this bin a name rather than a door number .We call it Rhett Butler cos no sooner will it be emptied and it will be Gone With The Wind π Some people go chasing rainbows , us it's dustbins . Today I think I will practise my impersonations I do of people. Last night I did one for my mate Barry ,which went a bit like this ........ me .. I will do an impression of Batman . . "Up , UP and away ! " Barry said "That's Superman " I thanked him as I thought it was ok as well . Take care and have a good day .π -
If your asking what I think ? If you see a good deal cheaper on a tinternet cruise web site and it's cheaper ,what are my options ? A) You could book with them the "tinternet" B) Book with P&O BUT use their price match page and pay exactly the same as option A. Down to your personal choice . see https://www.pocruises.com/why-choose-us/price-promise

Morning all, sat watching the frost thaw off the car windscreen with a nice cuppa tea and will be staying inside the house where it's warm. To all of you who do Valentines day ,hope you have a good one and to all the ones who don't, never mind it will soon be pancake day π I once had that many valentine cards it left me breathless ! π Well what really happened was I couldn't run as fast as the card shop security lad and had to go back and pay for them π Take care and keep warm . -
Love that ship and hope your having a great time π

Or you could ask the waiter to change your plate at breakfast due to the crack in it , only for your waiter to advise you that's your bacon your looking at .π @bobstheboy from what I understand he is asking for the menu to be brought up to date, that's if they have no intension of serving the "always available" part of the menu in the future . Nothing up with that ,seems a good idea .

Morning everyone ,hope everyone's doing fine todayπ Looking above I thought I'd logged into Jamie Olivers website, all that modern food. Not a Pob in site either . . . . Not like eating in the 1950's is it ? Eating in the 1950's Some of us will remember ,to others, take it as a look back in our food history and how times and eating have changed since then . To those who remember enjoy this trip down memory lane . . . . 1- Pasta pot noodles had not been invented . 2- Curry was a surname. 3-A takeaway was a mathematical problem. 4-A pizza was something to do with a leaning tower. 5-All potato crisps were plain; the only choice we had was whether to put the salt on or not. 6-Rice was only eaten as a milk pudding. 7-Calamari was called squid and we used it as fish bait. 8-A Big Mac was what we wore when it was raining. 9-Brown bread was something only poor people ate. 10-Oil was for lubricating, fat was usedfor cooking. 11-Tea was made in a teapot using tea leaves and never green. 12-Sugar enjoyed a good press in those days, and was regarded as being white gold. 13-Cubed sugar was regarded as posh. 14-Fish didnβt have fingers in those days. 15-Eating raw fish was called poverty, not sushi. 16-None of us had ever heard of yoghurt. 17-Healthy food consisted of anything edible. 18-People who didnβt peel potatoes were regarded as lazy. 19-Cooking outside was called camping. 20-Seaweed was not a recognised food. 21-βKebabβ was not even a word, never mind a food. 22-Prunes were medicinal. 23-Surprisingly, muesli was readily available, it was called cattle feed. 24-Water came out of the tap. If someone had suggested bottling it and charging more than petrol for it, they would have become a laughing stock! 25-And the things that we never ever had on our table in the 50s and 60s was .. Elbows or phones! πHave a good day -

Happy Birthday Phil ,enjoy your bus pass π There was a retired man that took the bus every day and always bought two tickets. The bus driver intrigued one day decided to ask. . . "why do you always buy two tickets" and the man said" well its simple I put one ticket in my left pocket and one in my right that way if I lose one I still have the other " So the driver asks. . . " And what if you lose both tickets?" He just smiled and said .. " Oh don't worry I have a bus pass "π€£
