Morning ,it's a crisp ,icy -2.c this morning a bit like yesterday but I managed to nip out and fill the cars screen wash up with a winter mix so should be ok for the next lot of bad weather that comes along . Mrs K has made a nice big pan of Beef stew to keep us going for the next day or so . The last pan stew of the year I suppose so best make the most of it . Only ten days to go and the radio's full of Christmas songs, here's a good one to sing along to

I also have un -fond memories of a pair of leather platform boots I bought in the 70's. I bought some Segs to protect the soles and heels from wearing . All was well until one evening I came out of college and ran over the road to avoid traffic and onto a downhill sloped road . To my horror I could not stop and went skating down the pavement stood upright with sparks flying from under my boots , A few pedestrians and their kids thought I was great and gave me a cheer and asked if I would do it again . I declined and could not wait to get home and remove the Segs from my boots . Young and on a learning curve ,or should I say slope, that- Slopes, Segs and Boots .. do not mix Loved my boots though 😂

A bit hard living in this cyber world of friends but I'm sure he would let us know if he felt it appropriate to do so . I'm sure he has good reason for not posting which is his own business, so just a thumbs up or even a like of a post would be handy .

A good Idea that I read somewhere on here is to agree with a friend or family that you both agree to send a text to each other each morning and night with a simple thumbs up sign 👍 that tells each other that your both ok . Not much but gives each other peace of mind ,when you both get a thumbs up .

Morning our weather is -2.c and sunny ,so still staying warm and cosy inside today again . Our kitchen is 10.c but not spending much time in there but our living room is a nice 21.c. Our lad who is long distance lorry driver informs me he is up the top end of Scotland doing various deliveries and thinks it's T shirt and shorts driving weather . That is providing you keep the cab door and windows closed 😉 He sent us this photo posted below . Take care everyone .

Not a problem , I was only reading last night about a guy who also collects cats . Trouble was they were attached to peoples cars at the time 😲😉

The police were called to an allotment near us this morning . They had reports that a mass grave of snowmen were buried there but it turned out to be a gardeners carrot patch 😂

That's a new description for just above freezing 😉 Joking apart I hope everyone is keeping warm during this cold snap and keeping at least one room warm. No good getting ill for the sake of a couple of quid, that puts more pressure on the NHS. It's bad enough for those who genuinely cannot afford to warm a room up. Just compared my gas and electric to last year .. November 21 was £120 and this November is £138 but minus the £67 Gov discount now takes my bill down to £71 . Keep safe and warm folks

Tea is well dodgy😲 I discovered this a few years ago when I went out for a Christmas drink with the lads . We had an enjoyable 12 beers and left the pub around 2 am. My Mrs was at home drinking tea.You should have seen how mad and violent she was when I got home. She threw a tea cup at me and kept screaming nasty things at me . On the other hand, I was quiet and calmly made my way to bed. She kept cursing me and shouting through the night and well into the next morning. So my advice is should you be going out for a festive drink with your mates ,just give her a hug and a kiss and tell her to go easy on the tea whilst your away.

You certainly can go on forever ,we have a country that likes to fight bulls and that country where they dress up the same as a Tetley beer logo man ,riding horses and hunt down foxes .

I'll never forget when my parents sat me down and told me Santa wasn't real I was heartbroken... I'm not sure how I managed to go to work that day! So glad that Avril knows the truth ,I feel much better now 😊

There was something on TV about Christmas lights and apparently the ones that twinkle or flash on on and off can save you money . Must be all those bits unlit saving money ,who would have thought it 😕 I'm as enthused as Avril this year but will probably wrap a bit of tinsel around our solar powered welcome light ,it's the taking part though really . This time of year reminds me of some factory manager teams I used to meet ,they also reminded me of Christmas lights. They clung together, half of them didn't work and the other half were not that bright either.😉 I suppose a timely reminder about your pets and Christmas lights is in order ! Last year my mate Barry was shocked to find his dog had ate a full string of tree lights. I rushed him and his dog to our local vets who was pleased as he managed to remove them from the dog .The dog was de-lighted as well 😂 Have a good day

How to kill a few hours ,even though I can use my phone (Samsung ) or tablet which runs Windows 10 .My much loved Windows 8.1 is now coming to end of update support . I thought I would try for a Windows 10 update and thought I would have to buy a product key but nope all went in fine ,for nowt . I thought it would cost me but it's up and running which is better than scrapping my old faithful. So if you have an old 8.1 and you have a couple of hours spare ,give it a go

I know where you're from 😊 as a recent retiree ,trainee you might say ,I think we are getting the hang of things . After our meal out yesterday we treat ourselves to a night out at the Hilton ,a change from our four walls . The only thing we had to do was relax ,enjoy the footie (not the first 20 mins) and look forward to a lovely buffet breakfast this morning . The only other person we saw was sat 50-60 ft away so very pleasant for a Monday morning . Really liked the Christmas tree they had

Same here,we use the slow cooker a lot and if we put the ovens on we bulk cook and freeze food for later. We seldom fry food and the deep fat fryer got binned a long time ago. So your not alone.
