  1. I successfully applied a second cruise next certificate as a partial payment to a cruise booked with a cruise next certificate as the deposit back in early May. So, now two cruise next certificates have been applied. I did it online and have received my confirmation. The cruise was NOT rebooked at the current rate so all is great.
  2. Also, verify that "no single supplement" x 2 really is the same price as both of you in one cabin.
  3. The only part of your post that won't work is the "you'd get 4 meals for 2 rather than just 2" If you mean FAS meals, sailing solo you only get two (in a balcony with long enough cruise) FAS meals, not 4. Sailing together in the same cabin, there would be 4 meals (2 each). If you mean latitude meals, " Solo guests cannot claim two dinners. "
  4. And some of us . . . The Oct 27, 2024 sailing (in 138 days!) has ZERO excursions available!! I think when they changed the itinerary to start sailing from New Orleans earlier in the season, they forgot to negotiate or put up excursions . . .
  5. Sounds like a good plan! You could try to speak with someone after boarding to clarify.
  6. No, but how hard is it to get that refunded if he cancels the cruise. I purchased my internet package already for my Oct, Jan and Feb cruises - but I am going to cancel them and repurchase maybe after I board because I am in process of buying NCLH stock. I am not sure if they will refund what I have paid yet since it isn't final payment date, but I feel sure that if I canceled the cruise before final payment date, it would not be difficult to get refunded for all purchased excursions, etc.
  7. I would be happy with the Haven and main dining rooms - but get free meals due to Platinum so will use them! (my friends are 1 & 2 on the reservation so they will use their FAS meals and I will use two of the platinum meals while 3 & 4 in our cabin will use the other two platinum meals unless they aree platinum - can't remember)
  8. Maybe they don't have to be returned any more? or maybe depends where you are. I'm just used to either dropping it off at the main desk or leaving it in the room.
  9. I've used misc cards in the slots before, but surprised to see so many using hotel cards - I thought they were supposed to be returned?
  10. Every cruise I have been on - including Alaska on the Sun many years ago and carribbean cruises - I have always been glad to have a light sweater in the dining rooms, etc.
  11. I'm sailing on the Getaway at the end of October this year (so less than 145 days away) and so far there are ZERO excursions available!!
  12. It is relatively new having balcony, inside (and sometimes window view) cabins at a slightly lower price for solos. I was glad because I can get a solo balcony. These include access to the solo lounge (if the ship has that).
  13. I looked at the Prima - I did find one Solo inside that connected to a "non-solo" inside. None of the other solo cabins seem to be connecting.
  14. As long as we can get two sides, I can eat very nicely from this menu 🙂
  15. I tried to get Carrot Cake to go from O'Sheehans while in a suite - I had the same basic experience . . .
  16. You can go to the buffet (or anywhere that they have drink stations) and use their glasses to refill your water bottles.
  17. I have a VPN and know that I can be shown as "in" different countries. I wonder if that could be the case here?
  18. We don't do the drinks package either. Don't know a lot about whether all in cabin need drinks package, but even if you are required to get the soft drinks package also that might be a savings over you having the regular drinks package?
  19. My Feb 2025 on the Prima had solo balconies sold out last week.
  20. I found solo balconies on the only two ships I checked (3 sail dates) - Getaway and Prima
  21. Dress code on sail away day is more relaxed because many won't have their bags yet. No short shorts, muscle shirts, flip flops.
