Good Afternoon, thanks for the daily report. It was a busy work morning that started with a password change. Now if I can remember it. Today’s meal suggestion sounds good especially the first recipe from @dfish. I ignored my PCC’s advice to wait for an upgrade offer and called a bit ago. I was able to snag a Neptune upsell for both itineraries. With only one cabin left both ways I’m glad I called. Now we don’t have to change cabins when we get to Montreal. After DH insisting we upgrade he wants to complain that it costs more.🤣 @Heartgrove my condolences to you and your family. @kazu happy to see you here again. I hope that everyone has a good day today.

Currently the website says that masks are recommended not required. We booked under those terms. If they change we may want to cancel.

We booked with insurance too.

I think that if HAL wants to impose a mask mandate that is their choice. They should offer those who don’t want to accept the change a full refund. If then passengers don’t comply then disembark them.

I haven’t seen any ads on tv. I have been seeing lots of ads in my games.

Good Morning Everyone, thanks for the daily report. Last night was a good one for sleeping, at least until 3 when Mona demanded some attention. Yesterday after running errands I pulled a bunch of weeds and finished putting down the mulch we had on hand. Weeds are a never ending battle. Today’s meal suggestion sounds interesting and based on @dfish recipes and pictures I’d give it a try if offered. Today’s menu is a pork roast which is marinating. If Walgreens calls with River’s prescription that will be my adventure for the day. Late Friday I did receive our cabin assignments for our Zaandam cruises. I’m considering calling the upsell department for an upgrade. I hope that everyone has a good Sunday.

The bounce back message from my PCC stated that it would take three to five business days to reply. Then gave links and numbers to do it yourself

I remember my aunt and uncle having the family over for corn roasts, it was so good. Already made a run to Walmart. Petsmart, Kohl’s and Aldi are next up. Luckily they are in the same center. @1ANGELCAT I’m sorry to hear the news about Jaguar. I know that you’ll do what is best by him. Today is a beautiful day I hope everyone does something fun.

I’d like a couple of today’s meal suggestions please and @dfish I like your suggestions to go with the “meal”. @rafinmd I hope that the hip stops bothering you quickly.

I wouldn’t recommend buying the premium internet on an Alaska cruise. The farther north you go the more spotty internet becomes. Last summer the internet was horrible and barely worked. The satellite signal was so bad that the live tv was not available for large portions of the cruise.

I’d log into your account on HAL and confirm the itinerary on your booking. That would be the source of truth.

Good Morning Everyone, thanks for the daily report. @richwmn I think that the current format works. I consider it an evolution of the fleet report. I would certainly understand if it shifted back. Maybe a virtual group celebration when the Westerdam sets sail with passengers. Today’s meal suggestion would need a substitute for the spinach. I’ll look for @dfish recipes for ideas since I do like calzones. It’s a rainy day here and more coming tomorrow. The plants definitely need the water. I’m seeing reports elsewhere that several cruises are being cancelled or having their sail dates change. We still have to be vigilant with our bookings. I hope everyone has a good day today.

I’d like to think your TA would have been notified. They may not have seen or sent you the update. One reason why I deal with HAL directly.

If you are on the Eurodam it is a November 9 to 20 cruise. I seem to recall another poster mentioning that there canal cruise was extended by a day. I just confirmed dates on the HAL site.

Good Evening Everyone, classmates reminded me today via FB that today marks my 45th anniversary of graduating from Milton Hershey. Where did the time go? We’ve been to Sitka three times and missed it once due to weather. I enjoy the town and come home with some artwork by Jon Stuart Anderson.

Good Afternoon All, thanks for the daily report. Went to the yard after breakfast and spent the morning pulling weeds. Today’s meal suggestion sounds good. This is DH’s birthday month so we went to the 99 for dinner so he could get his free dessert. I got honey BBQ turkey tips that were very good and he had a bacon burger. The plan is to try an Aldi pizza tonight. @dfish I hope your recovery continues without any issues. I hope that everyone has a good day today.

I enjoy applesauce cake but haven’t had it in a long time. It’s a damp morning so will run some errands and then work in the yard when things dry out. I will definitely hug a few of the cats today. Good Afternoon All, thanks for the daily report. This afternoon was supposed to be a quiet work afternoon. That fell apart quickly. Yesterday the hospital where DH works held a pride flag raising and he was in the group photo that’s on the web site. He’s happy about that. @dfish I’m glad that you are on the mend. Please take it easy. When DH had that procedure he was out of work for a week. I’ll pass on today’s meal suggestion, we are having leftover port roast. I just got a survey from HAL. After work is done I’ll open it. They say it will take 20 to 30 minutes. I’ll have some wine while I’m working on it.
