  1. And I would book fairly soon after you decide; some locations will sell out.
  2. We park in the Port parking garage across the street from the terminals. No need to wait for a shuttle; just walk across the street. We have done Lot B in the past, but now we prefer the convenience of parking closer.
  3. That's the truth. You'd think competition between the airlines would drive them to try a little harder to do better and win customers, but when they are all bad, I guess it doesn't matter. I worked at SWA for over 12 years, 1997-2010. It was different then.
  4. People love to hate on Shhhowtime, but I will wave my napkin any day. Bring it!
  5. I've cruised both Carnival and HAL. I've done short cruises on Carnival (out of Galveston) and had a great time; never saw any terrible behavior, although I've heard it happens. We sailed HAL a couple of times when we were still in our 30s and loved it. Not bored at all. But we are always happy just to be on a ship with a balcony and enjoying the view. I loved the fresh flowers and the Waterford chandeliers and the food. If I had to choose between Carnival and HAL, I'd choose HAL. But either way, pretty much any day on a ship is better than a day at home. Right? πŸ˜„
  6. Ugh, I hate the ones that require a card instead of just the number code.
  7. I hope work is being kind to you today after your rough couple of days.
  8. I was on Allure in July, and that venue was branded as El Loco Fresh. It was ONLY Mexican food. The cheese sauce for nachos wasn't great, but the quesadillas were fine. There was an ice cream machine in there, as well. The line was out the door and down the corridor.
  9. The bed looks so odd without a skirt. Is that a thing of the past now?
  10. πŸ’―πŸ’―πŸ’― I usually find myself wishing I'd brought more clothing while I'm on cruises, for real. 😬
  11. Voyager replaced Adventure in Galveston, so I was pricing the same cabin on the same class ship from the same home port for the same itinerary during the same holiday week. And it was double the price we paid in 2022. I was really disappointed.
  12. The best part is that it's categorized/priced the same as all of the regular balconies. There are two on each ship - one on each aft corner of deck 7. Ours have both been on the starboard side. Liberty - cabin #7408 Adventure - cabin #7388
  13. Our favorite cabin is this deck 7 corner aft, which we’ve had on both Liberty & Adventure. It only sleeps 3, but that works out for us. You can see the aft as well as the side. We tried to book it again on Voyager over Thanksgiving this year, but the price was double what we paid last year at the same time. ☹️ So we ended up booking with another line.
  14. I’m so sorry for the loss of handsome Cooper. Oh, I’m so sorry about your cousin! I hope her surgery goes well and she will fully recover.
