+ 1 This 👍 + 1 This 👍 Try as I may, I fail to see the link between Harry's decision to step away from Royal duty and losing his "military titles". Harry, as well as Andrew, actually served in a combat zone. They rightfully earned their military ranks (not "titles"). Harry being captain is not an honorary title, like Princess Royal's being a "honorary" colonel in chief... I can understand being striped of HRH, but not of a military rank duly earned. And with this rightfully earned rank comes the RIGHT TO WEAR AN UNIFORM. I think that the "powers to be" are behaving in a childish and revengeful way. Seeing the sour face of Kate [not even a glance in their direction, not even a word addressed to] when she was forced to spend the walk about with Megan only reinforced my opinion.

It was. I cherish every minute we spent there. I've mentioned a few days ago "pity Hawaii is such a long way from Israel"..... I'll be back in a minute, just spare me the flight to LA.... Again, I think that NCL itinerary is top notch if, like us, you have limited time. And we've not done it in a rush... the cars waited for us in every port, the roads and signage were excellent, bathrooms stops were clean ["touchy" subject for me 😉]. We were thoroughly impressed. And the people, they were all so nice. Those were 10 days in Heaven.

Dave, @dbancroft + 1 💐 @Momof3gurlz, Deb, My personal "take" on Hawaii. Due to the long flights (Israel - LA, 15.5 hours, LA - Honolulu, 6 hours), we knew it will be a "one off". So the choice was not to travel at all, or have a small "taste" of what Hawaii is about. The ideal choice of the "taster" was NCL, which, in other circumstances, I'll not board even for free... As I said, personal. But, having very low expectations of NCL, and seeing the "big pictures", i.e. visiting 4 islands in a week, we took it in a stride. We got to Oahu Thursday evening, toured with a rented car all the highlights on Friday and were happy to tick all the boxes, Saturday morning I had a slot reserved for Pearl Harbor [very moving and emotional experience] the minute I could book (2 months ahead). Early afternoon we boarded NCL [and they more than lived up to our "expectations"....]. We had an overnight in Maui, which enabled us to do the Road to Hana, afternoon - Old Lahaina Luau, morning - up to Haleakala and 2 more "must" places. Same on Hilo and Kuna, we managed to see a lot. We rented ahead in every port, DIY tours. The highlight was the overnight in Kauai, with the Waimea canyon, and, on our way back to Honolulu, the sail by Na'apali Coast. Of course I wish we could have visited more, but, taking into considerations my DH self imposed rule not to be away from our grandkids more than 3 weeks at a time, we were very happy with our "accomplishment"....

Wondering if Jack is a "sabra" / "tzabar" like DH 😉 .... A sabra or tzabar is an informal-turned-formal modern Hebrew term that defines any Jew born in Israel. When I've managed an eye clinic, my Prof./"boss" was speaking very quickly, and the patients, being anyhow in a fragile and emotional mode, had trouble keeping up with her... I'll hear all the time "I've said it and I'll repeat it again", "I'll say it for the 3rd time", finishing with "my secretary will explain again... [huh???]", so many of them took to recording her....

Agree. Geiranger is a must. And just to give you an idea, first we've done the NF (2011), then Alaska (2013) and only in 2014 -- some Greek ports 😉

Has anyone used italytours.eu recently? Looking for recommendations

Yes. Excellent communication with Cristina 👍 -
As @Arzeena said, we all learned from your experience. Glad it was sorted out, one less thing to worry about. I'm always using the official sites, after researching the options on the Booking site. Hilton offers "senior" rates, which are not available on the third party sites, sometimes with a noticeable difference in rates.

@Sea Dog wrote: " Upon further inspection it appears that Linda gave Booking.com the wrong expiration date on the credit card. She typed in 04/22 back in January when we booked it and the actual date is 04/23. .." Bob, I don't know if you are a computer engineer, but here's is the problem -- when Linda booked and mistakenly gave the wrong expiry date, the credit card was valid.... May be find a way in the computer system, when a booking is made for a later date, and meantime the credit card expires, as to alert that by the time they'll check in, the card will be invalid....
