  1. my gf was able to get a seltzer but they will not give you a perrier which we used to get on other ships. No virgin versions of the HH drink. They show you a menu that has Coke, juices, and water. And yes the water bottle comes in plastic now.
  2. I don't do reviews, but I will tell you what I liked and didn't like about my last sailing. Equinox August 13-18/2023 I used to sail with Royal before; I am a cruise away from becoming diamond plus, but Celebrity is not allowing me to reach diamond plus. I traveled with my girlfriend, and I live in Miami. I got to the terminal around 10 am and parked my car, the airport was open, but we waited 30 mins and got on the ship at 11 am. The crew is super friendly. I went directly to my room to drop my carry-on. Ocean café was open at 11.20 pm, so I switched to X from Royal. The food at X is so good; the ocean view was delicious, MDR and Murano. We didn't like the petite chef because it took almost 2 hrs, the room was super warm, and it was a waste of time and money. I went to Sillhoute twice this year, and I believe Equinox has better food. On the other hand, I noticed that the crew was a little bit tired; if I go heard ten good mornings every day at OC while I was in the Sillhoute, I only heard three on Equinox ( I just made those numbers, but it is to give you an idea). The ship looked a little bit old on the outside, cabin, and balcony, we didn't care about that, but it is a fact. This is the first time someone steals, or I don't know how to call it, a personal item from the ocean view café. I left my Yeti water bottle on the table while we went for food, it was 3 mins max, and the bottle was gone. We asked the waiter and everyone around, and no one saw anything. We filled out a report, but we won't get it back. I noticed people leaving phones, brand handbags, and designer sunglasses on the table, but I guess I didn't run with the same luck. I usually leave my seapass and sunglass; the first time I left my Yeti water bottle, it was gone. The entertainment is fantastic; I believe they are trying to attract more young people, which I like. Cruise Directo was full of energy, and the whole staff. I couldn't find anything wrong with the ship; the food was tasty and warm, a plus for us. I only which we can get our elite drink anytime during the day, and I believe that the list for virgin drinks is minimal. Last but not least, I just booked two more cruises for 2023. I wonder if I ever will become diamond plus lol
  3. I hope the same, I can't wait till they offer virgin drinks like pina colada the non-alcoholic list is so limited in X.
  4. Hi everyone. I was watching a youtube channel and heard the guy in the video saying that even if you have assigned dining time of 8:30 pm you can walk in before that time. let's say 10 or 20 mins before 8:30 PM and you can get in the MDr without problems. I thought it was closed and you were not able to get in until your selected time.
  5. yes which is not enforced lol, at least in Miami and fort Lauderdale
  6. princes is related to Carnival right?, no thank you
  7. Coming from Royal where they prefer that we use the digital menu, I caught my celebrity waiter off guard when I told her that I was ready and I had the menu on the phone. Took another X cruise and it was the same, I also noticed that most people get paper menus which in my opinion can make the experience take longer. I was wondering what is the norm, paper or digital menu. Thanks
  8. When I was in college, I saw my first celebrity cruise like 10 years and I was like , noo noooo I saw my first royal cruise 10 years ago and I was like, I wanna get there Out of my 4 cruises for 2023, 3 were with celebrity. They are doing something good.
  9. I was wondering if you are allowed to bring your own water. I know Royal don't care but I have no clue wth X Thanks
  10. Hi I’m sailing on equinox but I no longer see the MDR menu in the app. I even selected a different dialing and still don’t se it !
  11. I won, let’s say 99% of the time. The only time that I didn’t win was bc I asked for a grand suite. But, my experience is based with royal. I never bid in x because the minimum is super high this is what I do, again this is what I do with rcl I always book interior and bid for a balcony n suites. I only place the minimum bid and move the needle just a little bit to bid for the minimum plus 20$. That’s all. I end up in balcony most of the time and only a few junio suites btw I’m close to be diamond plus
  12. I was expecting WOS to do better I was on the harmony a few months ago and due to bad service and food in both MDR and windjammer I decided to sail with celebrity for 2024 and the rest of 23. I love royal , almost diamonds plus but last ship was really bad. I spoke to the manager of windhammer about the quality of food and he told me that "it will improve in the future but this is what we have " see you in the future then lol
  13. I really like this thread, first time going to Bimini so I don't really know what to expect. I thought the beach club was included like cococay with royal lol. I guess I have to do some reacher lol
  14. Hi I might book for the first time " specialty dining" The more I watch youtube videos with my girlfriend the more I want to reserve at least one time quick question, can I ask fir more than one appetizer? Thanks
  15. please keep neglecting the celebrity brand, don't even touch it. I am almost diamond plus on royal and I had my first X cruise this year and we loved it. last month I went to the Harmony and the food and service were terrible, like I have never seen before and I really love Royal. So, let them keep building new beaches and expanding clubs, don't touch X cruise please lol
  16. Well I just booked another X cruise, I went on it for the first time in 2023 and i loved it. I selected MDR at 830 But I see that they also have 3 complimentary dining ( cyprus- normandie-tuscan). I guess the MDR is Cosmopolitan , but how do I get to eat in any of those 3 restaurant. I try to click on it and reserve but the sysem will not allow me. I dont know if i allowed to eat there or not, im not familiar with celebrity. Thanks
  17. My plan was the same for my upcoming RCL cruise, get a dining package, but I concluded that rather switch to celebrity lol
  18. if your ship arrives early you might find a great spot but on my last cruise, it was harmony and Adventure, the first time in my life that noticed way so many people on cocacay, pool, buffet , beaches, people everywhere.
  19. My Gf and I are really close to diamond plus and we rarely criticize royal Caribbean food but we changed our mind during our last sailing on the Harmony. But the windjammer made us change our cruise company line for the rest of 2023. The food was so bad, no taste, no presentation, that I felt I was in carnival. Celebrity is the same company, but I sailed with them twice this year, and food and service are way better. I know royal will improve but in the mean time I stick to celebrity ( cheaper 2)
  20. I just got back with my GF from Harmony. We sailed on March 29th easter itinerary. I am not good at making reviews so I will be fast. In addition, I rarely do reviews for CC, but I had to do this because I thought service and food were going down. We are Diamond and close to Diamond Plus, the millennial generation, and we were alone without friends or families. Yes, the food at Windjammer is terrible. Everything tasted the same, the dishes were cold, and the presentation could have been better. I loved the ice cream, and the dessert was better than before, but everything looked smaller, and they could have done a better job presenting all the food. No more welcome aboard cake or cupcakes, no seafood day or shrimp. A person even asked the captain in the meet and greet what they broadcast on TV about the shrimps and the cost of additional lobster tails, and he blamed the covid for everything and said that it would take time to be back as they were before. I gave my constructive feedback to the Windjammer manager, whose answer was basically that he was following orders. In other words, that the way the royal want to run his businesses now. I wouldn't say I liked the new menu at the MDR; there is something in the taste that I didn't like; however, the NY steak tastes better. The main dish was cold last night, and sometimes the steak needed to be medium well. The waiter and assistant were professionals, and I could be out of the MDR in less than an hour. I sent four emails requesting a table of two. I had late dining, and guess what? I was transferred to my time. The shows were excellent, and the compass was full of activities. We had two days at sea, and it was packed with activities. The captain was super funny, and I think he is going on vacation today. The cruise director has a lot of experience, but sometimes, in my opinion, that can be annoying since he sounds like a broken record and won't go out of his scripts. The stateroom attendant was terrific, despite his challenges of doing the room only once daily. The diamond club was an in-and-out for me; we could get what we wanted to eat and be out of there in less than 2 mins. Boarding was fast, but we were sent to a different lane because we had a carry-on, which had only one scanner; imagine how slow that lane was while we were looking at the rest of the passengers passing by us in less than a min. I just remembered that employees rarely look at the passengers and forget about the Good Morning or Hi; they seem tired and not looking to interact with passengers. Stateroom attendants will say Hi even if they know you but don't expect the rest to do the same—silent disco, crazy quest, belly flops, zip line, and sexy man can't miss it.
