  1. Today was fabulous. Tomorrow will be 80 and sunny. I've lived through enough NY winters to know how Leonard feels. If I forget the occasional ice storm, hail, tornado, it's delightful to wear a short sleeve t-shirt all day outside in February.
  2. Oh I remember it well. It's why I loved Spring so much after all those harsh Winters. Besides pizza and bagels, it's the one thing I miss most. I knew Spring arrived when my azalea bushes started to bud. Those crocus and daffodils will be happy soon. Oh no! I hope his symptoms stay mild as well as the rest of the family.
  3. My day yesterday: Stayed home all day reading my kindle, chatting on the phone, and on CC, among other strenuous activities. AND chicken francese is just about my favorite dish. Mark, thank you for your daughter's surgery update. Continued prayers for the best possible results. Hope your son's covid symptoms diminish quickly. You and Susan are amazing parents and grandparents.
  4. Mimi, from me too! 34th St., next to Macy's. Counter service. Their hot dog rolls were New England split top like how lobster rolls are served. Never had Indian food but every menu had at least one offering in the MDR. We always request extra towels with no problem. It will be very upsetting if they limit the amount of towels given out. I can't imagine the cruise line forcing us to use one towel for multiple showers.
  5. I'll try to answer. Not so much what's making me feel like crap but the potential Covid effects I don't need or want. With covid I would need to self isolate for 5 days and possibly lose sense of smell and or taste for who knows how long. I don't need added fatigue which is one lingering side effect from the last time I had covid. Jack has a few medical issues and I wouldn't want him going through another bout of covid. I feel much better today. I doubt I would feel better after 2 1/2 days if it were covid. Now when we have slight sniffles the new normal is to stick a swab up our noses to test for covid.
  6. Jack is a tiger, feeling great, thankfully. I still feel like crap. Sneezing up a storm, watery eyes, runny nose. Thankfully, not covid. As long as I don't have a killer sore throat I'm fine. Have to keep my windows shut and I didn't go outside at all today. Hope tomorrow will be better. Thanks for asking. I sneezed 12 in a row today. I broke my record of 10.
  7. Thanks, Lenny. What a fright! Praying Charlie heals quickly. @FromSea2ShiningSea I would be stressed to the limit. So glad things worked out and you were able to enjoy your son's wedding. Congratulations - a hearty Mazel Tov. @dani negreanuDani, foggy or clear, your pictures are beautiful.
  8. I just got a message from CC congratulating me on reaching 3,000 posts. I have over 3,900 posts so this congratulations was a bit slow in coming but gladly accepted. 😏
  9. Seems like we can't experience common cold symptoms without the fear of covid. All day my nose is running something fierce, slight sore throat, slight headache. No fever. These are the exact symptoms when I had covid. Test so far is negative, but I do feel like crap. Energy level is lower than usual. I'll re-test tonight or tomorrow. At least I have enough time to get over what it is I have before we leave for our Bella cruise. Keeping fingers crossed Jack remains ok. I never had hay fever/allergy symptoms but TX where I live is high on the list. We've been having delightful weather and have been keeping windows open. It's anyone's guess. Debbie, hope Donna is feeling better as well as Mark's daughter in law. My "cold" symptoms seem so insignificant. @h20skibum Mark's daughter has been on my mind for a successful surgical outcome.
  10. On our 2/6 Adventure cruise we requested a daily paper Compass and received one every night. All you have to do is ask. Have a wonderful cruise.
  11. Bethany, did you book with RCI direct? The cost can be significantly lower with a TA if you can be booked in a group. Our 5 night Adventure cruise 2 weeks ago was less than $800 total for both of us. Your cruise no doubt was significantly higher because it was Thanksgiving and you were 3. Will we be able to choose which time? I prefer coming back to our cabin from a busy day to a clean cabin, bed made, fresh towels. New MDR menu, once a day housekeeping service, lobster only on 7+ night cruises. G-r-r-r-r-r Previous G-r-r-r-r-r is just MHO. Wouldn't stop me from cruising.
  12. Oh no, Debbie. Hoping Donna feels better very soon. Covid can really do a number on you. Hope Chris doesn't get it again.
  13. You worded it well. I totally misunderstood. When you typed "she" I jumped the gun thinking you meant your wife. Sorry her friend got covid but glad you and your wife are ok.
  14. @dani negreanuDani, I'm confused. Is your trip over? I thought you were going to Marrakesh? I hope things picked up for you to enjoy the rest of your trip.
  15. Hope you wife's symptoms are mild and that she gets over it quickly and that you stay healthy. Same as with George's wife. Hope your daughter-in-law gets over it quickly with minimal symptoms. Jack and I were both lucky in July when we both got it. Our symptoms were mild and didn't last long.
  16. The first time I danced with a boy slow and close was to Chances Are. I was 14 and so scared. Best performance at the Catskills was Jack Jones at the Nevele. I was 18 and I thought he was the most handsome man in the world. Next to my dad. 😍
  17. We saw Harry Chapin perform at The Turning Point a Piermont, NY old time coffee shop. Of course, he sang "Cat's in the Cradle" one of my all time favorite songs with a powerful message.
