  1. Joining others in here to follow both of your adventures. @brillohead @Ozark_Kid have smooth sails and a wonderful cruise.
  2. That lobster tail is small! Your (I think it's an) orchid is beautiful! I hope you're having a wonderful cruise.
  3. Thanks, Arzeena. Not sure I posted I didn't feel well but feel better wishes are always welcome and appreciated. 😉
  4. Napoli's in Plano, McDermott and Independence. Good luck with your dental surgery. Eddy's Pizza in Plano is good. 15th St. Name is misleading. Great food. Never had pizza there. Thank you! Thank you. I try to remind him daily!🤣 Thank you.
  5. I was in my 20s and didn't give it a second thought. Now? Not sure I would go to the trouble. My Jack shares your son in law's birthday. However, NOT 51. We had a wonderful lunch today with friends at our favorite Italian joint. There was a cake, some singing and we laughed, carried on and stayed over 2 hours. I look at him and still see that young hunk I met and fell in love with over 50 years ago.
  6. 22 Seconds was good. The 23rd Midnight book comes out in March. Yes, I love them too. I think the 23rd is the only book I might buy to read on the Bella cruise. They really are wonderful reads. Your grandkids, as always, are beautiful no matter how their pictures are posted. Ricky is quite the handsome cat. While on a tour, I was in the dead sea years ago. The only caution was not to go in if we had recent cuts and not to shave for a few days before. No mention of old bathing suits and I don't recall anything bad happening to mine. I was fine. Dani will probably have more info.
  7. @dani negreanuDani, thank you for sharing your wonderful celebrations with us, your 50th wedding anniversary and DH's birthday. "until 120" - long life. Beautiful setting but then Tel Aviv and Old Jaffo hold special places in my heart. My favorite place to meander on our visits to Israel was always Old Jaffo. And how I love "Tel Aviv! I need to agree with other posters that you both look wonderful, you especially beautiful.
  8. I hope you enjoy it. After you read, please post what you thought of the ending. No spoiler alerts here. I also finished The Boys From Biloxi - John Grisham. I was not a fan of this one and the ending left me unsettled. I seem to remember @Momof3gurlzDeb stating the same. I'm waiting for the newest Women's Mystery book by James Patterson. Library doesn't have it yet and I'm too cheap to buy also!
  9. I've read every book he wrote! That's exactly what we want to do. Jack doesn't eat lobster, but I do. Please let me know how it works out. Have a wonderful cruise and a lovely meet-up with @brillohead
  10. We better not be tested on this stuff! I basically read mysteries/thrillers as well. Series are ok if I read out of turn, and they give a short synopsis of what previously went on. I've read a few Joy Fielding books in the past and the one I'm reading now is a page turner. I get most of my kindle books borrowed from the library. I reserved a few that I hope I get in time for our upcoming cruises.
  11. I am in the midst of reading a "can't put this" book down. The Housekeeper by Joy Fielding. Categorized as a thriller. Housekeeper ingratiates herself into the lives of an elderly couple she is caring for and the adult daughter who hired her starts to see things...amiss. Getting ready to read more!
  12. I bought eggs yesterday, I think $3.79 or $3.99/dozen. Seems I got off easy. It's amazing how much more I spend on food now, compared to pre covid.
  13. At first I read that as Botox. 😉 Lately, I prefer People's Court as well but also watch JJ. I wonder if she was that cranky before presiding in court in front of a tv camera. It's soon time to start your and Lisa's "winner chicken dinner" recipe. So good!
  14. Very sad. She lost her son in 2020 to suicide. Both deaths tragedies. I cringed hitting the "like" button on your post because of the sad content. Continued prayers for your Sarah. Pasta looks wonderful. Hangers are an ingenious idea.
  15. I never had the need for Amazon Prime since we usually order more than $25 which is free delivery. We usually get delivery sooner than the promised date which is always a good surprise. We've ordered from Walmart as well, with good results. We like Wayfair for home decor. Our favorite brick and mortar store for home decor is At Home and Home Goods. The mother of all stores here is Nebraska Furniture Mart. We have great shopping, don't we?
  16. Dani would know better but if purchased in the Middle East, it looks like a Passover seder plate to be filled with traditional items and displayed on the dinner table during Passover.. 6th item is usually salt water. Seder plate Arrange five items on the plate: a hard-boiled egg; a roasted shank bone; a spring vegetable such as parsley, called karpas; a mixture of fruit, wine, and nuts, called charoset; and either prepared or fresh horseradish, called maror.
  17. One time at a local Starbuck's I didn't care for the coffee they had brewing. The barista asked me what coffee I prefer and when I told her, she said she would make me a pour over. I had no idea what she meant but it was one of the best tasting coffees I've ever had and it was free!
  18. I went to bed last night when pg. 3352 was the most current on this thread. It's now after 7am and the thread is still on page 3352. No catching up for the first time since this thread was created. Californians, stay safe and dry!
