  1. Debbie, you beat me to it again. I was poised to respond that I would order 2 shrimp appetizers and make it my entree too. With a salad also. We are so in sinc!
  2. I hope you don't mean that. Hiding bad juju here! Your geezer experience is so funny! My hearing aids are blue tooth compatible so I can "receive" phone calls right into my hearing aids. This can only be done if I program my hearing aids to my phone. Apparently the geezer assumed music or noise was coming out of your kindle. As you said, you were right behind him and an easy mark. I'm loving the effort you and John are putting into this wonderful thread. Totally enjoyable.
  3. Growing up, we never had the internet to influence our lives. The only technology at home was a tv, radio and Underwood manual typewriter. Teen girls can be very dramatic. I know I raised one and I was one myself.
  4. We'll be driving down to Galveston on 2/5 for our Adventure cruise. I got 2 different online forecasts. I'll take the first one. Sun 2/5 Mostly sunny 50°F 34°F Sun 05 Feb 46° 30° Light snow late. Overcast. Cool.
  5. I had a crying meltdown when I watched The Beatles on Ed Sullivan Show. I was one of those tearful girls watching A Hard Day's Night in a movie theater. My Eastern European born parents thought I had lost my mind. To their credit, they allowed me the freedom to express my obsession until I grew out of it.
  6. I was just going to post that. It seems whenever I want to post something, someone beats me too it. I think I need to come in here more often. 🤨
  7. I love your definition! I have heard "bless your (or his little) heart many times here in TX. I'm in TX 19 years and I still don't get the lingo. Carry on, @brilloheadand @Ozark_Kid. I forgot what thread I was posting on 🤣
  8. Oh yes, I remember Steeplechase Park/Coney Island/Brighton Beach Bay 3. I remember the bumper cars. I was too afraid to go on the parachute drop. A stop at Nathan's for a a hot dog and fries was essential! My favorite amusement park was Palisades Park in NJ. Oh the memories as a young teen.....sigh.
  9. Yes we did! We would take a boat from lower Manhattan to Rye Playland. It was always the highlight of the summer. Beautiful family!
  10. A very Happy Anniversary to you and Toby! We took a combined Disney World/Cruise 31 year ago. 4 day cruise, 3 day Disney, entrance fee included. Rate at that time was $39 per day and we thought that was high! Today, the rates are as follows: 1-day tickets range from $109 - $189. Price varies based on park and date selected.
  11. For some reason I keep hearing the song "Mama Mia" and my favorite, "Dancing Queen" sung over and over in my mind. 😄 Looking forward to reading about the big meet up!
