  1. Thank you!!! You are correct. Negative testing is still required for cruise ship passengers. I was confused when ArriveCAN said marine passengers. Not applicable to cruise ship passengers. Thanks for clearing this up! Guess the sea lions are considered "marine passengers" !! lol
  2. Seems ArriveCan says you only need to be fully vaccinated; if fully vaccinated no need for testing pre-cruise. Yet the HA site says you need to have a negative Covid test prior to embarkation? What is correct?
  3. The menus look much more interesting than the Alaska cruises. Can’t open them on the iPhone but can on the desktop. Enjoying your reports!! Thank you for posting!!
  4. Are the free flow tests from Costco different than the tests from the government?
  5. Nice.. here’s another one Amazon HOME-X Practical Neck Pouch, 3 Pocket Travel Lanyard for Passport and Accessories, Black - 6 ½” L x 3 ½” W https://a.co/d/2cSiKNg
  6. Can someone go on Shark Tank and invent a lanyard that holds your room key and your reading glasses?
  7. Yea!! Pea soup for breakfast!! LOL. I get it.. probably not there until lunchtime
  8. Solution to rough seas from a HA bartender: When you feel a bit nauseated from rough seas, have a cocktail. The motion is not as bothersome. It worked for me in 30ft swells in Mexico. I had doubts about that as I thought I was loose my cookies before the cocktail... it worked!!! Always believe your HA bartender!! Sailing and cruising = seas.. both smooth and rough.
  9. Look like all is smooth sailing ahead and left on time.. Have a great cruise!!
  10. Hope you will sail on time. Will be watching her pass by in North Seattle...
  11. Sorry for your experience. I hope you share with Holland America guest relations. Would be interesting to hear their response. They were certainly not on top of anything.
  12. Same here .. booked without gratuities a month or so ago. Can pay gratuities at least twice and save money vs switching to Book Early and Save promotion.
  13. Looking forward to your reports! My husband is a KC native.. went to St. Pius (north of the river) and have been there many times. Nice city!! Hope you have a wonderful trip on the Eurodam!

  16. Thank you so much for your reviews.. we are sailing Sept 4. I did not even look for an excursion the day of the Hubbard. Assuming there would not be anything available. On our excursion day says the boat is a catamaran? Wonder if that is the same boat? I am signing up. Much thanks!!
  17. Thank you!! Nothing there yet but still only one week. Will keep checking there.
  18. Hi Roz.. the big Sheesh was for me!! I should have known better to include an email. I was scolding myself!! I did re-fax the information. I appreciate your response and all the help from this forum. Totally my fault for not explaining that better. Thank you for telling me to do so!!! Much appreciated.. Laura

  21. Thank you for all your reporting and information. Taking the Oosterdam from Santiago to Buenos Aires in January.. with a stop to Antartica. Hope the Captain will make some announcements. Glad I am reading your experience as I know what to expect and will not be disappointed from prior cruises pre-pandemic. Much thanks for taking the time to share your experiences. Hope the rest of your cruise is a happy experience.
  22. The shop is called deals only.. lots of junk and a few treasures!
  23. Astoria is a fun little town. The best chowder is at the Silver Salmon Grill. it’s not on the waterfront but maybe 3 blocks into town. The chowder is also on the daily happy hour menu. Some of the best chowder I have ever had! There’s a fun kind of store on the same street Commercial St. It is huge and sells all kinds of tools, close outs, kitchen items.. the store is a hoot and don’t miss the basement. We found a very fun walking stick there. On Sunday, is the local farmers market with lots of crafts. Very cute town to just walk around and explore.
