Greenland cruise out of Cape Liberty
Jimbo replied to OnTheJourney's topic in Royal Caribbean International
Anyone know what balcony prices were like when his sailing first became available to book. Just curious, not that it matters that much. Also what were Carnival prices like, what ship and what was the date of that sailing? and where was it sailing from? -

I'm not talking about the plane he is getting on at BWI to Providence...................I'm talking about the seat he has on the current plane he is on that he is going to get off at in BWI.............. When off loading if he is sitting in the back of the plane can take an additional 15 minutes or more to get off that plane if he is sitting at the back of the plane.

No tchotchke's on Serenade of the Seas

I suggest everyone just buy one of these and use it in your cabin, saves the time looking for a seat in the Schooner Lounge. -

Amazing isn't, what has so little value excites and upsets some people when the cruiseline makes changes. In all the cruises we have been on, I bet I can count all the times we attended a trivia session on one finger. Just not our thing to do on a cruise. -

Yes, think Royal Up will be few and far in between, only happening if someone cancels 7 to 10 days before the cruise. -

No, but it's a good chance to be able to see the Northern Lights this time of the year in Greenland from a US port Roundtrip, with no international flight travel needed. If you want to do the TA, get on the ship in Amsterdam on August 28th 2023 to Bayonne, a 17 night cruise. Not many cabins left for that one either $7500 for an inside cabin GTY. -

What categories are people quoting prices for....otherwise prices don't mean much? Highly doubt @Merion_Mom got a balcony cabin for $2000, a 1/3 of what I'm paying. -

I'm sure it is,that's what happens when you book late. supply and demand. When you get onboard look around to your right and left. I'm sure others have even booked it for less then you did.:) -

The ceiling was like that when we moved in...the circle pattern is only around that light fixture in the dining room.. There is some kind of texture though throughout the rest of the ceiling. My contractor had to try to duplicate is some areas that we had can lights removed and the area where fridge is where ceiling was patched were old walk in pantry was. They did it with spackling and like a mop head and twisting it.

Here is a different view showing hanging light over sofa and love seat,TV area . When standing at the sink you can see that area and TV on the wall. You can get a good shot of the 2 beams over head in this picture, really adds to the room. They are not solid beams, they are 3 sided hollow wood we had made in Florida from Etsy and had them shipped up here. I think the wood is like 1x 8's stained and burnt to look like real beams, the fire place mantle was made by the same people. They slit holes in the ceiling the beams go in and are held up with framing across the rafters in the ceiling. Many sleepless nights thinking on how they were going to hang these things and not screw it up. They are 12 ft long....... only about 18 inches on both ends is through the ceiling. These are the bar stools we selected ,we have four. It was a must to make them cat claw proof ,so no fabric on them. Our painters did not show up today, one of them was sick, so the reno continues into next week............Will this project ever get done...........Stay Tuned !!! Dining Room table was made by the same people in Florida. The light over that table is a little special to us, it was over our Kitchen table at our house in NJ. So it stays even though it's a little different then our other light fixtures.
