  1. The family were across the hall from us on the Regal in an inside cabin. We actually rode a shuttle with them and they told us their daughter was 9 months old and that they were from Alaska. We saw them being moved out of their cabin mid-cruise and thought they were being upgraded.
  2. On our recent Regal TA, everyone was credited for 5 days of no internet.
  3. This could be a new competition on the Amazing Race! 😄
  4. Can you tell me if Francisco Patricio is still the DRO (Maitre'd) onboard? I heard he was leaving in December. Thank you in advance.
  5. Port days are much easier for booking cabanas or the Sanctuary.
  6. I think the earliest they will start boarding passengers is around 10:00/10:30?
  7. When it comes to the Sanctuary on a warm cruise, the early bird gets the worm. So, as early as you can be onboard. We will also be on the same cruise. However, since we are traveling with our 8 yr old granddaughter (and her parents 🙂) we will pass on the Sanctuary for this cruise. Btw, on this cruise the first two and the last two days of the cruise are usually not good Sanctuary weather.
  8. We were just on the Regal for 37 days, all of the coffees in the IC were quite strong. Very much like Starbucks coffee.
  9. We have found over the years that the launch prices are usually the lowest prices you will find. However, every once in awhile you might find a lower fare. When we do find a lower fare after booking, we either re-fare or re-book at the lower price. This can be done until final payment has been made.
  10. I noticed the same thing on our recent cruise, I could only access our next cruise on the app. The other 5 booked cruises could not be accessed via the app.
  11. We’re on the Regal next cruise, curious about reported Covid + passengers and crew? Thanks. @JoRoy218 On the last night of the cruise, we were told by someone in the know that there were only 7 passengers in Covid isolation the last week of our cruise. I believe those 7 were all off the ship yesterday, as only 75 passengers were staying on for the back-to-back.
  12. We are just pulling into our berth in Port Everglades. As usual on the last night of a cruise, I didn’t sleep well. We were told last night by Nicola, the DRO, that there are only 75 passengers staying on for the next sailing. The US Coast Guard wants all passengers off the ship tomorrow until 1:00 pm due to their safety inspection. The 75 passengers have been given $50 vouchers to have lunch off the ship. For those boarding tomorrow, it might take awhile to board? Well, that's it for us. We have a 2:15 pm direct flight home to LAX from Miami International Airport. Hope you all enjoyed our journey! Until the next time (Dec 28th, 10 Day Mexico on the Discovery)! 🙂🛳
  13. We finally have Internet! It has been out since Sunday. We were able to check in to our flight, but the Internet is painfully slow!!!
  14. Onboard the Regal, matches are being shown in Club 6 and on two channels in cabin TV's.
  15. Sorry, we are not in a balcony cabin. We have a large, full size table on our balcony. Hopefully, someone in a balcony cabin can answer your question.
  16. @GonzoWCS The bartenders at Vines are Mr G and Lei. Devon is one of the floor servers.
  17. Today we were in our last port of the cruise, Tenerife in the Canary Islands. We hired a taxi and finally made it to Loro Parque. This "small" world class zoo has one of the rarest and largest bird collections in the world. We had a great time and the weather was perfect!
  18. I've been really lazy the past couple of days. In Gibraltar a couple of days ago, we walked around and enjoyed lunch at our favorite fish & chips restaurant.
  19. You actually stream via your device (smartphone or tablet) and use the TV to mirror the screen on your device. You need to bring compatible cords/adapters for your device and plug into the HDMI port on the back of your TV. Then follow the steps detailed in post #327. The adapter we use recharges our device while streaming. If you use an adapter without recharging capabilities you will only get a couple of hours of streamimg before the battery on your device dies. I hope this helps??? Btw, we have been downloading content like crazy in anticipation of losing Internet service during the crossing.
  20. First step, have TV set to a Live channel. I usually set it to the Bridge cam. Then, you will find a round button on the bottom of the TV. Give that button a quick push (a long hold will turn the TV off) and you will see a input menu appear on the lower part of the TV screen. Use the arrow selector on the TV remote to select HDMI. A second menu will appear on the upper right hand corner of the TV. Again, use the TV remote to select the HDMI input. I make sure my device is already set to the streaming service. And viola, you should be good to go! If that does not work, find me at Vines. I make house calls. 🙂
