  1. This was February 3, 2024, we were backed in and NCL drove in! IMG_9260.HEIC
  2. When we were on the Enchanted in December 2023 and also January/February 2024 we were always able to get 2 scoops of gelato in a dish or a sugar cone with no charge. The sugar cones are made right there and are sooo good.
  3. Earlier this month I was on the Enchanted Princess and tested positive. I was isolated for three days from the onset of symptoms in my own cabin. Once released from isolation I was asked to wear a mask when out of the cabin which I did until I tested negative (day 8). My husband was able to come and as he pleased but chose to stay in the cabin during my isolation period because we figured he would test positive at any time. He never tested positive which he now attributes to good genes, great physical shape and …. beer!
  4. We are just finishing up 20 days on the Enchanted and Afternoon Tea is only on sea days and in the Amalfi Dining Room
  5. It's always a guessing game whether the ship will be able to dock in Costa Maya because of the strong winds. We were onboard the Sky Princess February 2023 and were to have 2 stops at Costa Maya over the 3 weeks and we never made it there either time.
  6. The same thing has happen to us (fellow Canadian) for our December cruise. I suspect there may soon be an update that Canadians will be able to have their Medallions shipped to their home. When that is released I’m hoping it will all get sorted out.
  7. I have received emails from Princess about a week after disembarking asking me to review excursions I have taken with them. Perhaps if you just got off you'll receive it soon.
  8. Over the years my husband and I have been on many Princess ships that had groups (including a Polka Group) onboard, they have never impacted our cruise. Sometimes you may see an area that is being used by that group for a certain time but will be open up later on. Many times we never noticed that there was a large group on until we noticed a lot of name tags. We wouldn't hesitate to go on any cruise just because of a group cruise.
  9. On the Discovery in April/May we tried it for the first time and loved it. We were on the Enchanted in November and went. Just as happy with it. Great food! Lobster Mac and Cheese, Burger, Short Rib Poutine were terrific. Try as we might we could not finish everything. The staff were so attentive and happy to chat. They are only open from 5:30p.m. Soon will be going on the Sky and plan to eat there again. On the Enchanted while we were there many people were at the bar and also used the tables and chairs to sit with their drinks.
  10. The conversion rate that Princess was charging for Canadians at the time you booked your cruise continues if you are purchasing OBC. If it is showing $125.00 for 100.00 OBC you booked at 25%. It's a good deal. I have some bookings at 20%, 25%, 26% and 29%. Looking at the cost for purchasing OBC is a great way to know what conversion rate you booked at.
  11. In July we received our FCC three weeks after we disembarked (6 isolation days).
  12. Our experience on the Majestic in July was completely different. My husband and I tested positive on the second day of the cruise after having been on a land tour first. Staff were very helpful, Medical called every day to check on us and inquire if we needed anything more than they had already given us. Passenger services called every day to inquire if we needed anything. They also explained regarding the isolation days we would have to do in Anchorage and gave us the choice of booking our own hotel or they would book one for us. We choose to book our own. I contacted Ez-Air using the Enroute number and had our flight re-booked for the first day we were allowed to fly back to Canada. Room service delivered anything we ordered including breakfast, lunch and dinner off the dining room menus, never waited longer than 20 minutes for anything to arrive. If we required our garbage emptied, clean towels, kleenex or TP they were left within 30 minutes of calling. We would have preferred not to have gotten COVID but we have no complaints of how we were treated. I told my husband that he's lucky that we got sick on the ship because he wouldn't have eaten that well at home!
  13. Until our last cruise tour I would have agreed with you. My DH and I both tested negative to start the land portion and one week later tested negative the morning of embarkation (Saturday). The following day (Sunday) afternoon both of us tested positive. We are proof that your pre-cruise test can be negative but 1 day after boarding symptoms began and we moved to an isolation cabin for the rest of the cruise. We were treated very well and have no complaints about our time in isolation.
  14. We just completed the Heart of the Rockies land tour followed by N/B Vancouver to Whitter on the Majestic. The land and train portion were amazing and the highlight of the cruisetour. We started in Calgary, Alberta and went by bus to Banff, Lake Louise, Jasper, boarded the Rocky Mountianeer in Jasper to Kamloops then to Vancouver. The accommodations and meals on land were all first class. We have done the 13 day Connoisseur Escorted Cruisetour Fairbanks to Vancouver in the past and although wonderful, the Heart of the Rockies wins handsdown.
  15. We were are on the Discovery Princess April 24-May 4 (5 day Cabo B2B 5 day Pacific Coastal. We ate in the Club Class Dining Room every night except one and each time we were told what the extra dish was for breakfast as well as dinner. I can't remember if there was an extra dish on sea day lunches. Dining Room manager 1st leg was Mark and 2nd leg Manager was Nelson, they always advised us and the our waiter would let us know also.
