  1. Yes 4 drinks a day. Just let the server know if you don't want to use a voucher.
  2. Could be anytime up until 7pm the day you board the ship. Very few bids are actually accepted as the ships are now sailing full and bids are just covering last minute cancellations.
  3. Based on previous delayed cruises, yes but since you are on board you really should ask non board for a definitive answer.
  4. I have not experienced yacht club however with just 530.people on board and 700 crew the service is impeccable. Even full at 800 to 900 guests would not change the level of service thet is provided. When you consider what is provided the cost is actually reasonable if you do some comparisons to a suite on Royal or Celebrity. There are some great rates for 2025 Caribbean sailings.
  5. I will be posting pics from around the ship The one I am in is the entry level suite. All stataterooms on the ship are suites. These are all oceanfront terrace suites and there are 4 categories based on location with the ones on deck 6 having a deeper balcony. All are 300 Sq ft with a 75 Sq ft balcony (larger on deck 6) From there you jump to the Penthouse suites ranging in size from 400 Sq ft to 700 Sq ft and then to the residences which go up to 1600 Sq ft and then the owners suite which has its own infinity pool and is 3000 Sq ft All suites basically have the same perks.
  6. After boarding and making our reservations for the Steakhouse we went to the buffet. They had to have had more staff in there than they do on an Oasis class ship. We found a table and sat down and immediately a waiter was taking our beverage order which was waiting once we returned with our food, Nothing is self serve with all the food behind glass so you hand them your plate and they add what you want. I'll post pictures another day when it is not busy and by busy I mean 1 or 2 people in front of you at one of the food stations. So many different stations, sushi (delicious), ceviche, fresh grill, pasta, carving station, burgers, charcuterie, pizza, panini, desserts and I am sure I am missing a few. Just like Royal they have a handwashing station as you enter but without the washy washy people and real towels to dry your hands.
  7. Slowly adjusting to the time change, I managed to sleep in until 5 this morning. Our rooms were open at 1 and our luggage was there waiting. A few more pics of the rooms. Welcome aboard bottle of champagne, water bottles and snacks. There was also a letter that listed the choices of a bottle of spirits for your room. A fully stocked coffee bar in one of the cupboards Below this was also a fridge stocked with water, coke and Italian soda. No problems with plugs, USB outlets or charging ports. Each person has their own nightstand complete with all of the above as well as the chargers that you do not need a physical connection. The main desk also had this as well as USB ports in the bathroom. The nightstand has a neat feature. There is a night in the bottom that is motion activated. Very handy when getting up in the middle of the night. Sarah's favorite feature was the make up table that has a Dyson hair dryer drawer. The heated floors and the rainfall shower in the bathroom were also nice touches
  8. You got that right. I brought a mix of clothes, I know what the dress code says but we will se how people actually dress on board.
  9. You can apply one offer per person. If you have an offer and you companion has an offer you can apply both. If you have 2 offers you can only apply one. Each offer has to be in different names.
  10. There are 4 restaurants and a buffet on board as well as one specialty restaurant called Anthology and a Chefs table, both of which are an upcharge that we won't be doing. "Anthology presents an onboard culinary experience like no other, playing host to some of the worldโ€™s best chefs such as Mauro Uliassi, Emma Bengtsson and Claude Le Tohic. Enter a setting of rare ingredients and exceptional creations paired with wines by renowned winemakers. This showcase of global cooking talent is designed to transport guests on a mouth-watering journey of discovery and enrichment." Two restaurants require reservations, Marble and Company (Steakhouse) and Sakura (Pan Asian). Every guest is guaranteed at least one reservation at these two restaurants. Fil Rouge and the Med Yacht Club are the two main restaurants that do not require reservations. The Emporium Marketplace is the buffet but its not a traditional buffet. Everything is behind glass and many items are cooked to order. There are some great on line videos and apparently the pizza is superb. I couldn't find menu's on Explora's site but there were some easy to find reviews that had pictures of the menus and I must say they looked incredible. Very expensive with a wide variety of offerings Also in looking over the deck plans there is a Gelateria and Creperie as well as a Malt Whiskey Bar
  11. I am terrible for posting and even staying up to date ion this thread when I am away but since there are fewer things to do on this ship I think I will be able to manage. I will probably post in the mornings when I can post from my laptop. I find it too hard to post from my phone and since it appears that I will be up early I will have the time. Sarah is in heaven with the separate make up table and not to mention all of the spa facilities...I may not see her for a week.
  12. Here is our cabin for the week. Stateroom 8083 which is one of a few that can have 2 twin beds as opposed to one king (they don't separate like Royal's so you avoid that hump in the middle. Pretty nice location, nice and close to the aft elevators. https://explorajourneys.com/ca/en/ships/deckplans Ours suite is the entry level stateroom https://explorajourneys.com/ca/en/suites/Ocean-Suites/ocean-terrace-suite
  13. Survived the 5 hours flight with no entertainment or internet, at least they had drinks. A bit nervous as we walked on the plane ad saw a mother with a one year old sitting in the aisle seat in our row beside me. Most well behaved one year old I have seen, barely a peep out of him the entire flight. Definitely not used to changing time zones, I've been awake since 3am despite staying up late. Our boarding pass says 1 but a few posts on line suggest that, like Royal they are not enforced so we will arrive between 11 and 12. On the Hawaii to Vancouver leg there were only 300 to 350 passengers and the last sailing had jus over 500 so I doubt ours will be anywhere near the 900 max capacity.
  14. Only iof you compare inside cabins. Take a look at the prices for the balconies and you will see that they are quite high. This is one of the major design flaws of the Vision class is the lack of balcony staterooms.
  15. You can call c&a. To asd to what Biker said, the booking on initial first glance will still appear to be a double and they will need to look closer to see thst it was indeed turned into a solo. Yet another quirk of their booking system.
  16. No refunds are issued. Taxes are refunded for guest 2 and the money is applied to guest 1.
