  1. We just completed a 7-day cruise and were totally not impressed with the new lunch menu. We were so not impressed that we're cancelling a 54-day cruise. Can't imaging going on a cruise for 54 days with the same thing for lunch every day. There are 2 items that rotate on and off the menu, but the majority is the same every...single...day. Of the always available items, half were things that neither of us would eat. On 2 days we gave up and went to the buffet. That was not much help. On both days, the carving station had baked chicken and pork roast. What has happened to variety? It used to be hard to decide what to eat...not anymore. Sadly disappointed in this new menu.
  2. That's so not true. The PVP that I use told me that he could "protect" the cabin that I chose, cancel and rebook for a lower price or to use a newly purchased Future Cruise Deposit.
  3. That's not the usual format for an email from someone at Princess. It's usually first initial/last name @ Princess.com. Example: jsmith@Princess.com
  4. As a general rule...balconies have a small door that can be opened to connect the cabins on either side. However, if the cabins are at a fire break (noted by a change in numbers, i.e. on Discovery A442 and A502 are next to each other). You can tell it's a fire break by the change in numbering and the hallway has a door noted. There is not balcony opening between those cabins.
  5. Sounds like it. Never give info to someone that you don't know if you didn't initiate the call.
  6. You could do several things... call one of the PVPs who have tried to contact you call the call center and wait on hold try contacting "chat" (doesn't seem to be working all that well recently) Once you're on the ship ask around and see if anyone has recommendations for someone who is reliable.
  7. Kind of on the same subject...has anyone who is Elite ordered afternoon tea for your cabin? Does that count as a "room service" charge?
  8. There are only 2 Grand class ships that have window suites, they're located on deck 5 mid-forward. There are only 7 and they book up fast. Some Royal class ships have window suites, some do not (from what I could find on the deck plans). When they have them...there are only 2 on each ship. They're located on the Sky deck (17) and are all the way forward. Many don't like the high deck/forward location.
  9. Who is/are Holand and holdand? I'm confused.
  10. I think "premium" is location more than size of cabin. ??
  11. Just make sure you play at least some amount of time. As others have stated...the casino is not an ATM. If you try to use it like that, your casino account could be locked.
  12. When we were in our first suite (soon to go on a second one), I printed out the list of suite perks. Of course, this was before they pared down the list (maybe so new suite pax don't know what should be included). I was glad I had that printout. Either we had a clueless steward or a steward who was uncooperative...either way I had to show him the list to get any of the things we were entitled to.
  13. I use FastStone Capture. That might work.
  14. There was a vegetarian korma on a dinner menu that was recently posted. You could probably request chicken to be added.
  15. AFAIK...on board credits are on board credits used for anything that you can buy on board (except for Future Cruise Deposits).
  16. I find it easier to use the desk-top version: Log into Princess.com Choose your cruise - "Manage this Booking" Scroll down a little, until you see the logos for App Store and Google Play Under those logos, there is a very small, blue "try our web version" Click on that.
  17. The new list leaves off a lot of things that are still included. Maybe, they're planning on dropping some? Like they've done with Elite benefits. AFAIK and others have recently reported, Suite breakfast is still included.
  18. No butler and Yes, the Enchanted is a Royal class ship
  19. Mini-bar CAN be switched as follows: 8 50ml bottles of spirits, including 2 scotch, 2 gin, 2 vodka and 2 brandy 2 bottles of beer usually Dos Equis 6 cans of soda 2 bottles Perrier 2 small bottles of water You can switch like for like, i.e. all water for all of it or all water for non-alcoholic beverages all soda for non-alcoholic beverages all scotch, or all gin or all brandy for alcoholic beverages
  20. As suggested above, get the Patter (Daily Events? new name?) or just go to deck 6. If you ask, "which MDR is open for lunch", you will 99% of the time be told to go to the buffet.
  21. If it's an annual verification, can I apply for my next cruise that leaves in December? Booked on one for this month, got the credit. Next cruise is in December. Apply now or wait until closer to sail date?
  22. Generally, the best fares are when the sailing is first published. I usually book early and have gotten price drops exactly once and that was after final payment. Didn't get the price drop, but the rep gave me OBC in the same amount.
  23. Rather than walk a "U", we go through the last door before the stairs, past the elevators and out the other door. Works great for bad weather days when the stairs are closed. Also, helpful for people who can't climb stairs.
